This place seemed to be so unorganised with terrible customer service, asked the waitress what tempeh was (vegan alternative on the menu) and she just said she didn’t know. After a moment my husband asked can you find out. Another staff member comes along and asks what the problem is, I said there’s no problem we just wanted to know what tempeh was. He goes away to find out, another member of staff comes along and explains that’s it’s like cauliflower or cucumber or something, I said isn’t it a chicken alternative like tofu or something and he says no 🤯🤯🤯 (later googled it and it’s actually made of soy). By now you can imagine we’re getting pretty fed up. My husband ordered a large cappuccino and along comes a small cappuccino, we asked if it was a large and the original waitress says it was. We ordered 2 more large cappuccinos that took ages to come out at different times and instead we got 2 large lattes. Admittedly they took the small cappuccino off the bill but seriously these guys need some customer service training! My husband also works away from home and one of the waiters was cracking jokes about him having other wives and girlfriends down there, I just didn’t find it funny at all I’m afraid, maybe if it wasn’t after 3 attempts of trying to find out what tempeh was I would have found it...
Read moreWagamama's like Yo Sushi has been chasing itself. Constantly changing things to try and make themselves fresh and new. While Yo has kind of pulled this off i cant say the same about Wag. We are huge Wagamama fans to be clear and have been eating here ever since it opened and at Putney Bridge before that. In fact we were such good customers the staff at the old store gave us a baby grow for the birth of our second son, which makes this review even harder.
The guy who served us was quite pushy, butted in while my wife was ordering and when she asked to not have shrimp with the Yaki Soba we didn't realise he just replaced it extra chicken, which was nice, but it made the dish quite difficult to finish and was a bit of a waste
It's not that its bad, it's just that you get flashes of what you hope it would be again and yet.. it just doesn't live up to it. I have been eating Itame for longer than i care to admit but its so inconsistent here. This time round the sauce was almost none existent and the chicken was dry. The Takoyaki style octopus balls in crispy coating was almost cold which for anyone who has ever felt the pain of eating fresh Takoyaki will tell you is just not right. The yaki soba was ok but needed longer cooking and over all it just wasn't a...
Read moreWe recently dined at Wagamama at Wandsworth on our wedding anniversary and had the pleasure of being served by Gabriel knows as Gabi. The experience was outstanding, largely due to her exceptional service.
From the moment we were seated, Gabi was attentive and welcoming. Gabi provided excellent recommendations, clearly knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure we had the best dining experience. Gabi friendly demeanor and positive attitude made us feel right at home.
Throughout our meal, Gabi checked in with us just the right amount, ensuring our drinks were refilled and that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Gabi handled special requests with ease and accommodated dietary preferences with a smile.
The highlight was when Gabi noticed our indecision about main meal and offered a detailed description of each option, helping us choose the perfect ending to our meal.
Overall, Gabi demonstrated what excellent customer service looks like, making our visit to Wagamama truly memorable. I highly recommend Gabi service to anyone dining there and hope to be served by her again...
