Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid This Place
We booked a very special birthday weeks in advance and clearly no preparation was made.
We arrived at the restaurant between 6:00–6:30pm, and the evening went downhill from there. There were no menus on the table — only bottled water, which we were never asked about but were still charged for at the end. When we did ask for menus, they were in appalling condition — torn, taped together, barely readable.
Staff were completely disengaged — no greeting, no smile, no professionalism. We were left waiting ages for anyone to take drinks or starter orders. It took over an hour before someone finally took a few starter orders, only for the waiter to abruptly leave in the middle of service to take a phone call. All night, the staff seemed far more concerned with delivery orders than the customers physically in the restaurant.
To make matters worse, another party who arrived a full hour after us were served, had their meals, and left before we even ordered mains. We had to chase our drinks and starters multiple times — up to five times in some cases — and every time we were treated like an inconvenience rather than guests. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, with only a few runners for the entire floor.
Starter plates were never cleared — we eventually began clearing them ourselves just to make space. Getting someone to take our main order felt like pulling teeth. We were in the restaurant for over two hours before some of us even got our food. The mains then came out randomly, with no coordination — curries arriving without rice, some mains missing altogether, and some starters still pending while mains were served. Shockingly, several people never received their meals at all, and yet everything was still added to the bill.
Nothing was cleared throughout the night — menus, bottles, plates — all left cluttering the tables. Guests were hungry and began sharing food out of frustration. When it came time to pay, those leaving early were told we had to pay in one single transaction — the staff refused to allow separate payments and caused an unnecessary scene. When we asked for a manager, we were told there was none.
We stayed until 11:30pm purely because of how slow and chaotic everything was. I personally received my meal after almost everyone else had already left — I only managed a few bites before giving up. No apology, no explanation, no offer of discount or compensation.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Disorganised, disrespectful, and utterly disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreThis is a response to the comment below by Abishek Ranganathan. I was a customer during the visit of Mr Abishek Ranganathum and his friends. He was caught by management sneaking in their own bottle of coke and pooring it into glasses under the table. They only purchased one can of coke from the restaurant and magically there was 9 glasses full of coke. Management had charged for 9 cans of coke for their actions which is the "dispute with the bill" he is trying to explain. I got involved as the manager was a friend of mine. His arguement to bringing his own bottle was "because it does not say you can't on the menu". How ridiculous is this. Then he tried to even convince me that Nandos allow you to bring in your own drinks. I will let you decide on who is right here. It is easy to write a post to make a business looks bad. But there is always two sides to a story. In this case, these boys need to go out more. £5.50 for a 1.5litre of Coke at a restaurant is totally reasonable. If you want it for 99p, then I suggest you buy a bottle at ASDA, take it home and drink it with...
Read moreOverpriced, small quantity and not worth it. 2 egg rolls £1.00... 2 mutton rolls £1.80.... But wow the oil is cholesterol frightening!!!!!!!!! Mutton biriyani is £5.95.... And if u ask for spicy all they do is add green chillies as opposed to making the 'gravy' 'flavour' of the biriyani spicier..... Not really authentic because other wise the flavour and curry added to the rice would be spicy. There's nothing special about this place at all, the interior of the place is outdated and smells. It's a small establishment, the staff are not very attentive and the drinks/liquor menu is overpriced. They have a different menu if ordering online as opposed to visiting which is quite a difference as there is a minimum £20 to order if ordering from their website. The place can get rowdy with young youth or large groups. It's not a very welcoming environment. But the food is cheap and of ok standards. There is no health and safety or hygiene certificates posted so can not say how clean...
