Morden hall park is a lovely peaceful place. Obviously in the summer children go and play in the river on hot days so it can be noisy however it feels calming to know that they are enjoying themselves here. The park has small paths around the fields to walk on,but can be muddy if it rained recently. On nice peaceful sunny days i recommend coming here for a small picnic or just to come here to read. The park also has a garden center infront of the car park to which would be on your right if you come through the big green main gates. Or if you would to prefer to sit down with a book there is also a outside eating area on your left when you go in from the green gates as well, in that area there is a small second hand bookshop filled with different genres of books for all ages. The park also has something called the wetlands to which its a path made from a type of wood that is above water as well has soil to which where wildlife can be found there, for me the most common ones I saw were ducks and dragon flies, what else is also at the wetlands is there are signs that has different animals on and what they look like which I see is great for children to have an interest in animals or try and start having a interest with animals. The park is lovely for dog...
Read moreAs someone who loves nature and enjoys peaceful retreats, I find National Trust - Morden Hall Park to be an absolute haven. Nestled in the heart of Morden, this park offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the moment I enter, I'm greeted by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of the river winding its way through the park. The trails are beautifully maintained, making every walk a delightful experience. Whether I'm looking for a leisurely stroll or a more vigorous hike, the park caters to all my moods and energy levels. The historical aspect of Morden Hall Park is fascinating. The old snuff mill adds a unique touch, and I love exploring the restored buildings to get a glimpse of the area's rich industrial past. It's a wonderful way to combine a love of history with my passion for the outdoors. For families, this park is a treasure trove. The natural play area is a hit with kids, offering plenty of space to explore and have fun. It combines natural beauty, historical charm, and a sense of community in a way that's truly special. Whether I'm with family or enjoying some solo time, it's always a rewarding experience. I highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a little slice of...
Read moreLovely place for dog walkers joggers cyclists families especially on warm days. There are streams running throughout the park where dogs can cool off (even excited kids as well). Has two cafes . Both you can eat outside. There are umbrellas to shade you from the sun. I have only eaten in the garden one , you can eat inside in that place. Occasionally there are various activities taking place (arts and crafts open air cinema) One of my favourite parks in South London. I definitely recommend it. There is a garden centre to buy all number of things related to outside . Update:since reopening after covid the garden centre cafe closes at 4pm. Just discovered when they are short staffed they close about 3.45-50pm. On a hot day you don't need that! ADVISABLE TO BRING REFRESHMENTS IF YOU'RE ARRIVING AFTER THIS TIME AS THERE IS NO WHERE TO BUY ANYTHING TO EAT/DRINK IN THE PARK. The other cafe is only open in half term holidays apparently. Don't know why does sound bizarre though. Despite all of this the park is...
