Wenzel's the Bakers — Restaurant in London

Went to Wenzel this last Saturday, with my family to buy some food before heading home. The food was good, but the customer service was TERRIBLE, the ladies working at the till were very cold towards me and my family.

They were very harsh and abrupt with their responses, and the gave us bad looks. Out of curiosity, my 3 year old was trying to touch something, and one of the lady who seemed older, looked at my son in a dirty way, it was very horrible. When it was time to go, we forgot that we had left our food on the counter, and one of the lady shouted “ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE YOUR FOOD?” In a very rude way.

We also noticed that they were more friendlier with other people, and served them well, but with us it was different. We went home feeling totally disheartened by the situation.

What a dream team they are in Wenzels! I had an issue with my order from Ubereats & as soon as I called they couldnt do enough for me. The amazing manager went above and beyond with sorting me out a replacement asap and getting one of her own fab colleagues to deliver it to me straight away. I was happy with a refund but they insisted to come down and hand deliver it to me. Not only that they also put in a cup of tea & a gingerbread tree. It really did make my day - I felt bad because I was wfh And had an important zoom meeting I couldn’t leave until later on in the day so the fact they resolved it all for me was a dream! Thank you so much to the great team there and I look forward to popping in and seeing you all soon. It really is the little things....

It is a very busy place obviously in the lunch time slot. They offer pick up take away via several options. In the current climate of distance and mask wearing it might be advisable to use this option of food ordering. I would also say that even if you see a queue outside the shop of many people it does seems to go down reasonably quickly. They have dispensers of alcohol jel in every shop I have visited which you are free to use. All in all I think this is a great shop to buy food in as they are reasonable not cheap in their pricing.
