Whelan's — Restaurant in London

My friends and I decided to visit here last weekend because of the live music. We were having a good time 'till the power-tripping bouncer threw my friend out for dancing. There were people from every table dancing at their area yet my friend was the only one who got picked on and thrown out. I was in the smoking area when this happened having left all my belongings at the table we were seated at. When I returned, there were six others at the table and the two drinks that I had left on it were gone. Needless to say, I was fuming and asked to speak to the manager. He lied through his teeth by saying my friend challenged the bouncer when he was told to stop dancing - the couple seated next to us told me that no such thing happened. He has the personality of a wall and he said to me 'there are 9 or 10 other bars on this street that you can go to!'. Take it from me and the manager folks, choose another bar if you're in this area. I don't really know why we keep trying this place. The staff are friendly, but I'm always disappointed by the food. Came in with a big group of friends last night and my husband and I just ordered a simple burger, but the actual patty was burnt beyond recognition and all you could taste was the black charing. I guess this is their way of ensuring that you order dessert, as I had to get that awful taste out of my mouth. On the plus side, the cheesecake was tasty. My only issue aude from the food is the seating. The front of the pub only has really high chairs and benches, which are massively uncomfortable if you are short, like me.
