Being a resident of eltham for over 10 years I can definitely say that I've been to this wimpy branch at least a handful of times, none of those times were more disappointing than a meal I had with a friend a sometime last year.
I ordered a burger and I do this thing with places....I like my burgers well done. But I'm not fussed if it's well done or medium. So I don't request unless asked. It very rarley happens with burger joints but you get the odd place that will literally serve up your burger as if it was cookeed for the bare minimum amount of time for it to be considered cooked enough and prepped into a meal.
The burger arrived undercooked with the silliest amount of salad/chopped onion ( the chopped onion looked and tasted so bad, that was nearly enough to put me off my burger ) and the shapes were not what you'd expect as this is one of the things on the menu you can't really.get wrong but seemed to this time by making it so if was just a large dollop of vanilla in tho centre of the shake glass with the flavour shame around it. Hard to explain but just a very bad shake.
In summary: I've only only ever had one a experiance as bad as this one at a burger joint. Just don't go there again, it's terrible value for money for the food and service you will receive. I used to go for shakes a lot from this place too but will...
Read moreI went to Wimpy at about 19:30pm on 19/09/23 in Eltham with my mother and was greeted by a man with lots of tattoos (nothing against that just saying for reference of who I am talking about) I asked if we could sit in the window booth and there was no problems, our menus were given and everything was fine. Not even 2 minutes after sitting down the waiter proceeded to ask “do you know what you want?” I said “no just a few more minutes please” (as my mother is disabled I frequently read her the menu) he then stood there and waited, my mum then asked me can you tell me what is in the all day breakfast and this gentlemen rudely interrupted and listed the ingredients in a very aggressive tone. We then hurried our decision and placed our order. After our food had been brought over, said individual proceeded to stand at the till and stare at myself and my mum which in turn made us feel very uncomfortable. This happened several times over the course of our meal when he wasn't talking to the chef.
I will not be attending this Wimpy again as I understand you may have not wanted customer in this late however we do not expect to have been treated like this, not happy!
FYI the food was great but the service 0/10. My advice would be to have a chat with said individual and ask for a little less of a hurry...
Read moreWent yesterday with my girlfriend. Had eaten before in Wimpy in Woolwich where we had great meal. Not the case in Eltham. A very bad experience, there was a man, employee I believe, had his crocs on, who was sitting with his legs stretched on the sofa and shoes on the whole time and had his phone ridiculously loud while watching videos and disturbing everyone including us the whole time. At one point he was talking at the phone and cursing and other customers including an old lady near him was shocked this is allowed no one was doing anything and she told us also she doesn't have to put up with this. When we went to pay ,told the staff about the situation , and with out a care on his face we were told they ll take a note of it. But not really doing anything at that moment about it, besides having to wait cause there was no paper for our bill that we paid. I am head chef in a restaurant with 10 years of experience in restaurants and this was a real shame . The food was good. Atmosphere horrendous. Will not be...
