Wimpy — Restaurant in London

Having tried Wimpy’s vegan hamburger I must say it might just be the best vegan burger on the market. Size is the first thing that comes to mind. These guys are quite chunky which is what you want from a burger, something substantial. It’s well organised, the arrangement in how the patty layers up nicely with the toppings and sauce. The bun is nice and soft. Great texture in the patty, soft, succulent but meaty. It’s perhaps the best mock hamburger ever produced. Looks like a hamburger, feels like a hamburger, tastes like a hamburger but it is vegan! For those inclined, this option cannot be overlooked. Compared to other alternatives in overall presentation and satisfaction this hamburger is flawless. Wimpy did their homework, they understood the assignment. The staff are very polite and friendly. The food is made fresh as you ask for it and is very swiftly cooked. I've never ate a burger more filling and tasty than a Wimpy halfpounder! The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy. It's so clean you could probably eat off the floor! All the other comments here moaning about the price, your paying a bit more for better quality food. You can go McDonalds for a BigMac that's been sitting under a heater for an hour, with two tiny pieces of meat inside and eat it out of a cardboard box. Wimpy was the brits take on an American burger joint in the 60s & 70s, so it's a trip down memory lane for me. All the old favourites are there, the bender Brunch, Wimpy grill, burgers of course, and an absolute must, a brown Derby.
