Today, my friend and I visited Wings Of East PFC, driven by our hunger to try their offerings food. The restaurant's name caught our attention “Wings of East”, but unfortunately, we were let down by the disappointing quality of the food. We ordered two meals consisting of two pieces of chicken and four wings each. To our dismay, the chicken wings had visible hairs, which was quite off-putting. The hot wings were excessively oily, with oil dripping from them. Each bite felt like we were just consuming oil rather than enjoying the wings. The wings were unhealthy and left a bad taste in my mouth. I couldn't even finish the second wing as my appetite vanished after the first. Next, we tried the chicken, but it was equally unappetising. Upon inspecting the chicken skin beneath the coating, it was clear that the pieces were not cleaned properly. They were tough and dry, suggesting they had been cooked hours earlier. I regrettably had to discard my meal and throw it away in to the bin. Both my friend and I were very disappointed with the unhealthy food. The chicken was not prepared properly, and I sincerely hope that the Food Standards Agency from Tower Hamlets council conducts an inspection of their food quality and standards.

A humble little halal hamburger and kebab shop on the corner of Cavell St. Incredibly student friendly prices and filling meals are all you need to look for. I got number 18, the donner kebab meal fot ÂŁ6.49. The fries are crisp and comparable to McDonalds. The hot wings weren't made to order, and so we're a little cold, but won't make much difference if you get it take out. The kebab was on the small side, but this was made up for by the generous portions of meat within, which is surprisingly well balanced with the cucumbers and other veges. The venue is relatively small with few seating, but most orders are to go anyways. The restaurant itself is clean and the decor is refreshingly simple, not a restaurant trying to punch above its weight, appearance-wide. Staff are friendly, approachable and professional. Nothing more, nothing less. All in all a good place to get a great bite on a rainy Sunday night.

On Monday, my husband visited this chicken shop and ordered 20 wings for Iftar as we had the family over. In addition to the wings, he also brought home 4 teeney weeney pots of hot sauce, each about a quarter full. If I were to combine all the sauce, it would most probably fit into 1 pot. This shop's stingy attitude with their sauce is baffling, as this is not the first time we have experienced this issue in this particular shop. When my husband requested additional sauce, he was told to go elsewhere next time. Absolutely appalling thing to say. Our family is also involved in the restaurant business, and we would not treat our customers in that manner. As a result, moving forward, I will inform all my friends and family members about this incident. We will not support this establishment due to its stingy attitude and appalling customer service Shame on you!! đŸ€ŹđŸ€ŹđŸ€Ź

⭐ Review 1: Vibrant After-Work Hangout

“Dropped in around 7 pm on a weekday – place was buzzing with locals and takeaway queues. Ordered 10 peri‑peri wings + large chips. Wings were consistently seasoned and juicy, with a light char that gave a lovely depth. Chips were crisp and fluffy, perfect vehicle for their tangy homemade chili sauce. Staff were upbeat and ready to help. Price was about £12 for the lot—plenty for two snacky people. The only minor gripe: seating is tight, we squeezed onto a shared table. Still, the vibe was friendly and the food hit the mark.”

Known for flavorful wings and generous portions

Limited seating keeps popping up in reviews

⭐ Review 2: Cozy Late-Night Craving

“Went in at 11:30 pm craving something hot. Opted for 6 naga wings and a doner wrap. Naga wings delivered real heat—fiery but not inedible, with sauce clinging well. Wrap was packed, meat moist without being greasy. Staff closed up quickly but still served with a smile. Water refill station appreciated. Paid just under £10. Only downside? Tables were sticky and a bit cramped. But for late-night comfort food, this nails it.”

Naga wings frequently praised

Late-night crowd common

⭐ Review 3: First-Time Mixed Review

“It was my first visit so I got a sampler: 5 hot wings, 5 BBQ wings, small chips with chili sauce. Hot wings had the right spice but could use more sauce—some pieces felt dry. BBQ wings were sweet and sticky, held up well, though meat didn’t absorb the flavor fully. Chips crisp. Staff quick, but one wing had a visible feather—yuk. Overall hygiene seemed fine, but that moment dropped it to a 3.5/5. Good for variety with caution on consistency.”

Consistent quality praised, but occasional hygiene/undercooked complaints

Sauce portions sometimes stingy

⭐ Review 4: Family Takeaway Success

“Picked up dinner for the family—20 wings (10 peri‑peri, 10 naga) + kebab & chips. Everything arrived hot and packaged neatly. Peri‑peri were perfectly spiced, naga brought solid heat. Kids liked the kebab wrap—meat was tender and flavorful. Friendly staff packed sauces and napkins without asking. Cost ~£25 but value felt great for family share. We ate at home, and nothing was soggy—solid takeaway experience.”

Great for group takeaway, generous and fresh

Fast, friendly service noted

⭐ Review 5: Solo Cozy Lunch

“Midday solo lunch break, grabbed grilled chicken meal with chips and salad. Took just over 5 minutes—staff moved the queue fast. Chicken was tender with a hint of char, salad fresh. I liked the chili sauce drizzle. Place was clean—tables wiped quickly, sanitizer at the counter. Cost £8.50. Atmosphere quiet but welcoming. Wish seating was more spacious, but for speed and taste, this is a winner.”

Consistently praised grilled chicken and hygiene

Quick lunchtime service

Hi,

This place is definetly 1 of the best pfc places in East London & their food without a doubt is always 1st class & simply amazing.

I hate to write a complaint or negative feedback, this aint the 1st place to forget my food or certain types of my food but I just had to write this as it is disappointing to find a lack of care & sympathy from the workers, yes they said sorry & they gave me my chips which was the only thing they forgot but to not offer any compliments or extra food/drink or something (ANYTHING) is utter rubbish, where is the: CUSTOMERS COME 1ST & keeping customers happy gone? The world is becoming more & more selfish & it is a sorry site to see with my very own eyes.

When I went in the shop to get my chips they did say sorry but made me feel like I was in the wrong with their tone of voice when in fact it was you that forgot my chips & you are responsible for getting the order correct as you are the ones employed to do your job, NOT ME!!!

Your lucky I was tired after a long day at work, all I wanted was to get my food & go home so didn't bother to ask questions, complain or give feedback, any1 else would of not dealt with it the same way I did & caused a big issue, your lucky im not the confrontational type but I am not a mug as well. If it was on my day off I would definetly had done & said more however now I have time I am writing this message instead & I do hope it...

I've been eating at Wings of East for a while now and can confidently assert that their services are of a consistently good quality.

I would have given a higher rating, as their food items were top notch when I had first dined there a few years back but, recently, I've noticed a slight decline in their food products and services. From the lamb donner meat being slightly undercooked to the neglect of my request of pouring sauce on the chips on online deliveries, I've been getting increasingly apprehensive as whether they are the same food joint I used to love. That is not to say that they are bad; they are still a good go-to fast food joint that I would recommend to others in a heartbeat!

One of the plausible reasons to the slight decline in the quality of their services may be their increase in popularity, garnering the attention of many new customers. To meet growing demand, it may have come to the point that they are trying to provide 'satisfactory' service to all customers rather than 'exceptional' service to each individual customer. I can completely understand their incentives for doing this under a business stand point but hope that they'd have greater consideration for their long-term and loyal customers.

I hope for more development of this fast-food food place and will continue to...
