Yildiz Restaurant — Restaurant in London

Awful customer service and very rude staff. This is a local and I never been there before, now I know why, it's the worse customer service ever recieved from the staff. Order was taken wrongy and at collection was charged more. Only realised this when I came home as the order was not done by myself. I called the place spoken to a lady and she told to come so she will refund the difference. Its taken so long for ordering, collecting and the lady was ok and told that she we will issue a refund. Nothing mentioned about bringing the wrong order back. So I called her again and asked if I could have the correct order instead of refund, she told ok and told to collect in 20 minutes. When I got there after 20 minutes and asked for her and told I spoken to her over the phone and came to collecr my order, chef and other staff all charged me for complaining and started to be abusive and did not want to listen, I said to the lady why did you confirm my request and told me to come, if you had told me thst nothing could be done then I would not come, it's taken an hour for you to deal with this . This was just not acceptable, you could told me the decision over the phone, and now you made me to come and you give this kind of attitude, it just horrible. It was not the money, it's the principle when you gave a decision, also all was speaking in their language with an abusive voice, no apologies given to me whatsoever , it was so embarrassing when chef told I should of brought back the wrong order and I was been clever and kept the order. Which restaurants who made the order wrong tells you to bring the order back when it will be put in rubbish anyway and now with Covid, one will think twice of contamination etc. Moreover one told to me to get out, how awful was that.

When I had spoken to my turkish friend regarding this place she also told that, she only went there once and the food was awful and service very bad. The best Turkish Restaurant is Cukurova in...

This restaurant looked a little suspicious / low quality before entering, but a friend's recommendation convinced me. I was much rewarded for making that choice.

The atmosphere of the place is very traditional, with small Turkish stitchery hanging from the walls. It seems to be family-owned and lots of locals get fresh meat from there for take-away. The restaurant itself was not very crowded, despite the great quality I experienced.

I ordered chicken skewers that came a lots and lots of small side dishes and were delicious. Besides the famous turkish bread and some rice, I had a huge plate of salad, freshly roasted onions, green peppers and your choice of garlic and/or chili relish. For about 10 pounds the quantity was astonishing and more than anyone could possibly finish for lunch. This is a precious little gem of restaurant, which I am glad to have found...

Excellent food at Yildiz and highly recommend! We enjoyed the lamb kofta, the Yildiz special salad, and the calamari and we were not expecting the amount of beautifully presented food including such colourful, stunning salads. The koftas/kebabs come with a bowl of delicious fresh pittas, a superb side salad with marinated onions and pickled red cabbage, and some rice. The calamari was juicy and fresh, and the Yildiz salad was enormous with really juicy delicious cubes of feta.

It exceeded all expectations and was thoroughly delicious (and so filling).
