Always a great experience here. They needed to make it clearer that there was a blue monday deal as I was only aware of it due to previously seeing it online. The other tables seemed to have a different menu but we didn't. Edit: my previous review was from years ago and no longer stands. Current review May 2022: Food has gone downhill , even since my last visit last month. Instead of the beautifully seasoned fries as shown in one of my pictures, we got what tasted like mcdonalds fries with big globs of sriracha mayo in places, the second picture of the fries. The ones underneath has nothing at all. They've changed the dynamite rolls, they no longer had the flavour they had before. The "firecracker" rice and the katsu curry had no spice whatsoever. The katsu chicken rolls had half the amount of chicken than before. We were looking forward to coming back because they had reintroduced the hoisin duck rolls that had been discontinued due to covid. These used to be small rolls full of flavour. They have been replaced with large, dry rolls without any flavour. Overall a really disappointing experience, looks like Yo sushi are trying to cut cost but have lost all of the flavour.

Yo Sushi has definitely gone downhill from before. They removed a lot of the interesting features that made Yo Sushi stand out from the rest. The autonomy of the conveyor belt and the water tap at every table has now all gone. You must order via the QR code and pay before receiving it. In addition, the food was horrible. The ramen bowl cost £12.50 and there was not even a handful of noodles in there. The broth was overpowered by pieces of chilli with no real flavour. Some random things were just thrown in like pickled onion and seaweed which made the overall taste just really strange and unappetising. The sushi was less than substandard. The rice did not seem real and did not even look like rice. It was cold and mushy and the rice grains seemed to be blended all in one. It appeared that the sushi had been prepared 2 or 3 days ago. The next thing I noticed was the thinness of California rolls. It looked like the chef had taken 2 normal size rolls and chopped them in half to make four. Overall it was a very bad eating-out experience and confirmed my decision never eating at Yo Sushi again.

Dined here for a late lunch/early dinner. The restaurant was relatively empty; only three other tables there when we arrived. We ordered approximately five hot dishes and drinks on the app, and took some sushi from the belt. After waiting over 20 minutes for the hot food, I asked a waiter how long it might be. We didn’t really want to eat the sushi and sashimi and not have the hot foods to go with it. A further 15 minutes passed - still no hot food. I queried again and this time requested they be taken off the bill as a goodwill gesture due to the time elapsed. He tried to barter with me and only take off one, to which I said that wouldn’t be good enough, and he removed everything that hadn’t arrived at the table. Overall the food was very good, and we actually were able to try some different (Korean) dishes that are not available at other branches. Had the service been quicker, this would have been a 5* review.

Steer clear! Worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant (if you can call it that). Was met by a lady that was playing on her phone and got to us a few minutes after we had arrived. We were swiftly seated and told a brief idea of how the place works. Half the food on the conveyor belt looked old and unappealing. The lady who seated us then sat down at the bar started eating and played on her phone some more. We took a few items from the conveyor belt that looked ok. Then we ordered some food off the menu. The food came very fast (too fast). One of the cooks slammed a dish down on the table and yelled over at a work colleague. A complete lack of passion from everyone working there. Then a manager type man who was walking around and checking on everyone came by. He was probably the only polite person that we had contact with. He asked us about one of the dishes, told us it was not liked very much. We told him we weren’t a fan. Then HE too sat down and began eating with some people at a table. The food we ate tasted old and the chicken burger that we ordered was in two steam buns. The bottom bun was completely raw, very mushy and doughy, had to send it back. I am a HUGE fan of sushi. This was the first sushi I’ve eaten in London. Was a massive disappointment. Worst service and food I’ve had in a long time. On top of all this my Girlfriend who I ate this with has been puking all day and most likely got food poisoning. Went back for a refund and told them their food got my girlfriend sick they said sorry, nothing we can do. call head office. Don’t bother going here. Very terrible experience....

Sub par service, dirty chopsticks, dirty plates with the soy sauce wasabi and ginger stand. Ingrained dirt around the raised plinth that the condiments sit on. Dirty floor and food splashes on the side.

The wasabi looked like it had been there since last week and tasted like a beautiful pea green paste… of nothing:

It took 10 minutes for the two bottles of sparkling water to arrive.

Then the food… that was a mixed bag and not anywhere near the standards I’ve experienced from Yo before. They’ve reintroduced the conveyor belt which made Yo such a different experience… but the food looked sweaty and unappetising so, we ordered gyoza and Korean fried chicken from the menu. The gyoza were crispy and tasty but the Korean fried chicken was cold chicken nuggets swamped in a sauce not unlike the dipping sauce that comes with the prawn crackers.

We gave it one last chance using watched some salmon sashimi and rolls hit the conveyor… it was fun watching them travel from the kitchen on the conveyor belt. They were quite disgusting with mushy and tasteless salmon.

This experience cost me £40 and I’ll never return.

We went to Tortilla across the way and had a burrito for lunch that was hot, tasty and filling and most importantly… not an utter...

Ordered a take away order, delivered by UBER EATS equatIng to £45 .... It was delivered on time, but the sushi looked like it had gone through the mill, hardly what you would expect. Even worse than that it turned up with out any condiments ... no soy sauce, no wasabi, no pickled ginger, and no chop sticks ... Surely, all of these condiments should be included as they tend to complete a sushi meal ... it was the worst Sushi I had the delight of spending £45 on ... please don't bother with a takeaway from this place, plus please do not expect UBER EATS, to deal with your complaint ... All in all, it is just a shambolic and shoddy performance by both YO Sushi ... and UBER EATS ... if you don't beleive me, just give it a go. Plus be prepared for a massive dissapointment.

Plus do not expect to have contact with the resteraunt, without going round and round in circles on their website ... and TBH, it is rxactly the same for UBER EATS too ... if you think this is a recognised resteraunt, and if this is a recognised service provider ... then your fool ... you may not be ... but that's exactly how they will treat you, while they pocket your money, and hide away from and accountability for the diabolical food, and service they provide ......
