I might be given couple more stars if I didn't come back second time today. We went the first time few days ago and got the BBQ set and tofu bibimbap, also the beef bao. It was great plus they gave 30% disc, all the food was nice. Then we decided to get more food for my son's birthday feast today. We love Korean food, and been to many Korean restaurant, but decided to go on this one because it's closer to home and they have my child's favourite dish Rabokki and K-fried chicken. But things didn't happen as we expected, we didn't wait long to eat it but the chicken (sorry to say) was not even edible, rock hard, tried my best to find things that I could eat, I just couldn't, so disappointed (you can see from the before/after pictures). It seems like they sat for too long in that heating pots. Got to throw the rest of the chicken (which is almost all). And I ordered beef bibimbap, unlike my first purchase, the beef has funny color and texture, a bit reddish tone, I had eaten so many times beef bibimbap (even in Korea) but never had something like this. Again it seems like it's been sitting too long in that pot, I just can't eat it. I wouldn't have even put stars for this, but because I had good experience the first time and the staffs also were so nice, it's just ashamed if they missed to keep checking the quality...
Read moreUsually in small intimate restaurants (this place is absolutely tiny) you expect to feel accommodated. I’ve been twice and the food wasn’t what I had big issues with it was hospitality. They weren’t rude or anything, in fact it’s the opposite, you hardly interact with them! Down to straining your neck to grab their attention or even placing your order and paying you do it via a QR code (insane since this place struggles to fit like a dozen people it’s that small). The food is tasty I liked the Bimimbap very standard for Korean cuisine but I would avoid the appetisers/fried chicken. I don’t understand how they can be the same price or more expensive than a main like Bibimbap yet a third of the size. Overall, i felt the staff were fixated more on delivery orders (there are at least 2/3 drivers revolving through the door, not an issue unless you are quite literally sitting arms length from the entrance which in this place is everyone) and as such fall short accommodating for eat in. Which is a shame since I love the atmosphere it feels truly independent. I want to give this place another go, hopefully the next...
Read moreWent for hubby's birthday... reserved table and, well, the person greeting us really, and i mean really struggled to grasp we had reservation... took a while and would have been laughable but the rest of expirence was a bit disappointing... you order by scanning qr code... and really it is not so clear what you are in fact ordering. After eating in many Korean bbq places - this one was most dissapointing. We had few pickles (3 little bowls), no traditional kimchi separatly, we had no sauce offered for steak and had to specifically ask (we were told that steak does not come with it - do not order steak - total disappointment), no lettuce (which is standard). With pork belly we had some sauces offered (thanks goodness)... oh, sorry i forgot 2 small rather anaemic pieces of oyster mushroom which came with steak... I would much more prefer garlic or spring onion or something really to lift the meat... oh and bulgogi (whichever you order) burns on the grill and there is no one coming to wipe/scrape or help in any capacity so each round becomes more bitter (I might be fussy, but for some reason disapointing...
