HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE
been there with my 2 mates... extremely warm atmosphere and staff definally 5* veeery friendly and warm. we start with some coctails, my friend favourite drink is mojito and he said he deffo had his best mojito and we had 2 daiquiris ( strawberry one) then we start with nachos and jalapenos rebozados but both of them were amazing and we orther more:) then i had castillas de cerdo my friends had fajitas de carne and fajitas de pollo but we had a question mark about king prawn and we asked how they doing it then we also ordered king prawn
had to say my chicken was absolutely amazing then we tried each other foods and each one of them were amazing staff were really friendly lady asked few time if we r ok and need anything and gentlemen ( i am ot sure he is head waiter or manager ) he been greaaat i can say he was amazing really helpfull
then had chimichanga its actually fried pancake which was my first time but i can say its definitely is a must to eat there oh churros really fun to eat :)
anyway we really had the best Mexican food in extremely warm restaurant and we decide to go there every week for our weekly meeting with my mates

Read moreI'll start this review by saying that I'm from the west coast of the United States. I've traveled throughout the SW of the US, as well as Mexico. My expectations of Mexican-influenced food are VERY high. That said, what Yucca does well is to provide fresh, well-prepared food and excellent service in a fun atmosphere. The menu provides lots of healthy options, as well as gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian/vegan selections. The drink selection is basic, but solid. All good so far.
Now, for fellow Americans, be advised that this is the type of Tex-Mex cuisine that one finds in a bar in the Atlanta airport, or in a shopping mall in Minnesota. Super basic.
Note for Mexicans and Native Americans: This place is SHOCKING with its expropriation and exploitation. See photo. On the other side of the cactus that I strategically placed in the photo is this seductive maiden's crack. This is the type of thing that would get your restaurant burned down where I come from. Skip it. The Indian food in this town...

Yucca might not be located in Mexico but their food is as authentic as it can get with UK ingredients. Honestly their food quality and flavours represent not only Mexico but Latin countries which is something I loved.
The fact that a good amount of items in their menu are written in Spanish is an excellent addition to Yucca as there is not a translation that fully explains the dish.
Their staff is very friendly and their music playlist has the right mix betwen latin and modern songs. All of the ones I heard were in Spanish, some of them classics and some others quite recent.
They alap offer cholula and a very particular hot sauce made from Habanero pepper which is very very good. In addition to this, they have an excellent decoration that shows the traditional colours and patterns used in Mexico and their wall art...
