Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Maidstone

Really poor experience yesterday. Food ok, first choice of drink not available but similar recommended. Promptly made. It went downhill from there. The cafe was busy for the time on both levels. Sat upstairs. Toilets were already locked (probably because they had been cleaned early and they couldn't be bothered to clean again) so queues for the dirty disabled toilet. Then at 4:05 and employee came out, looked at the top level which had at least every other table full and went top level closed. I have never seen this tactic used. Sure. Close off the area but let the people trickle out. To put it bluntly if the same amount of people had to sit downstairs there would not have been enough room unless they sat outside in the smoking area. The whole experience just smacked of laziness and self serving mismanagement. Probably should look into that Starbucks. Probably won't...

Do not convinced that ordering online is reliable.

I ordered a drink online today at 1:36 PM and arrived to collect it by 2:00 PM. Despite the shop being quiet with three staff present, my drink wasn't prepared, and I was asked what I had ordered (they supposed to check records in their system) Since I'm unfamiliar with the app, I couldn't provide the specific details. The cashier's lack of assistance and demeanour implied it was my fault for not being able to show what drink I had ordered.

It's not the customer's responsibility to prove their online order; the staff on duty should know what online orders have been placed, especially when the shop isn't busy and there's ample time to prepare.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've experienced this issue at this shop. I hope they can improve their service and take online orders more seriously...

Where should I start? Usually, I quite like Starbucks. Not in a hardcore fan kind of way but it's usually very pleasant.

This one is, in a word - grim. The staff member didn't get my order right. I told them 3 times while ordering. In fairness, looks like he was new and training but it was only 2 of the same drink!

When getting to the other end to explain that the order is wrong (no receipt given), they tipped it into the sink very abruptly, then slammed the mug down.

The cleanliness of the store was pretty shocking, see pics. I've never been to a Starbucks so run down and dirty! The chairs were stained, never seen this before. I have a greater appreciation for the nicer ones now!
