I WORKED at the APOLLO IN THE 70s TO 81 WENT TO APOLLO THEATRE IN OXFORD MY MANAGER THEN WAS JON BECKER I WORKED WITH NICK ROBINSON TOP BLOKE AND THE ONE AND ONLY ARTHUR..THE ASPLEY WAS A SECOND HOME FOR US HAD HAPPY TIMES THERE WITH CATH A GREAT WOMAN SADLY MISSED BY ALL AND JACK STILL POP IN WHEN I'M UP TO SEE MY MUM AND FRIENDS..KEEP GOING ASPLEY LEGEND OF A PUB FOR ALL WHO WENT IN...

SADLY, I HAVE BEEN TOLD AS FROM TODAY,..08/08/2025 THE APSLEY COTTAGE PUB, HAS BEEN CLOSED DOWN BY THE FAMILY..😢.. PLEASE READ OR GET THE Manchester Evening News ON SATURDAY..THIS WILL EXPLAIN MORE THIS IS VERY SAD FOR ALL OF ARDWICK AND BEYOND..😢

What, Great pub i was stun to see this place was still here,my dear friend John Maguire who comes from this area,told me about this pub.i saw the man he told me about Jack..good all round Irishman,likes his Guinness,who doesn't...John used to work at the apollo in 77/81.then went to Apollo Oxford. so i had to come and see this place,and he was spot on..KEEP GOING JACK...i'll be back again when in...

Staff refused to acknowledge a 'hidden disability' lanyard. Bar staff were rude and actually bordering insulting. My partner needed to come in due to extreme anxiety tried to get served and explained why to the barmaid who basically said 'I don't care'.
