Cafe La Fina — Restaurant in Manchester

I've been going to La Fina for a couple of years now. Mainly with my little children after school . So quite an regular customer. Don't remember to have any issues with the service or anything like that in the past. Today I've been talking my little children for an ice cream and coffee, so when this guy (called himself Ali and pretending to be the boss of the business) was trying to spoon out the ice cream with his fingers . When I have nicely asked him not to touch the ice cream with bare hands then he was very argumentative and refused to serve my children telling me that he's been in the business for 5 years and he knows what he's doing. When I told him that he caouldve use a different method to scoop it straight into the tub to avoid contamination with bacteria especially for my little children he told me to go away. Obviously, there are no such of H&S food standards in that place. No wonder why, every time I go there i see new staff serving. So, I came to the conclusion that their staff are treated the same way as the customers. Be aware of this !!! Shame that there are no 0...

June 2024 They haven't changed. Still excellent coffee and beautiful, delicious cakes. It's one of these coffee shops where you can relax completely.

Nov 2023 An update after our visit a few days ago. They still have these lovely cakes, make the extra strong capuchino (the coffee they use is nice), serve everything with a smile. We are not locals - from Cambridge - and wish that there was a Fino in our city. Mancunians are lucky.

2022 We have walked past Fino many times and never realised that it is such a brilliant place. Why didn't we look at the reviews? Almost all 5 stars and well deserved. Staff are very friendly, the coffee is very good and the cakes that are home made are delicious. Not that it applied to us but they're obviously very child friendly. With so many 5 stars it won't surprise anyone that it is also spotless. Time to make up for lost opportunities. We'll be back soon to...

Always get great quality from here. Food delicious, hot savoury, sandwiches, specials and cakes to die for. Baristas are fantastic at the machine turning out a huge selection of coffees, hot chocolates and teas. Lots of choice with cold drinks too. The seating is spaced and comfortable with sections in alcoves where you can cosy up for a chat with mates. Great interior design, comfy sofa and chair arrangements near the front and tables next to the window where you can watch the world go by. A covered seating area surrounds the front and side of coffee shop. The place to go for a nice relaxing time, less than 100mtrs from Barlow Moor tramstop. Has become my go to when meeting family...
