Malaysian Chicken Satay The Malaysian chicken satay is a perfect showcase of tradition and authenticity. Grilled to perfection over an open flame, each skewer is infused with rich, smoky undertones. The chicken remains tender and succulent, marinated in a delicate blend of spices that deliver a delightful balance between sweet and savory. Paired with a creamy, nutty peanut sauce, it’s a must-try for anyone seeking the true taste of Malaysian street food.

Spicy Fish Fry Bursting with robust flavors, the spicy fish fry is an exemplary dish that celebrates the heat and depth of Malaysian cuisine. The crispy, golden crust encases the fish, sealing in its freshness, while the fiery marinade of chili and aromatic spices gives it an irresistible punch. Every bite is a delightful contrast between crispy and juicy, offering a mouthwatering experience reminiscent of coastal Malaysian kitchens.

Chicken Rendang This Chicken Rendang is a masterpiece of slow cooking and layered flavors, true to the heart of Malaysian culinary tradition. The chicken is incredibly tender, having soaked up the rich coconut milk and spices, which create a savory, slightly sweet, and deeply aromatic sauce. The authentic preparation shines through, with the perfect balance of lemongrass, galangal, and chili giving the dish its distinctive and complex taste.

Mee Goreng Mee Goreng is a vibrant and flavorful stir-fried noodle dish that captures the essence of Malaysian street food. The noodles are perfectly cooked, absorbing the tangy and spicy sauce that coats them. The combination of fresh vegetables, shrimp, and eggs adds layers of texture and flavor. It’s a satisfying, savory dish that showcases the harmonious balance of sweet, salty, and spicy elements typical of traditional Malaysian cooking.

Mee Curry The Mee Curry is an indulgent bowl of comfort that blends the richness of a creamy, coconut-based curry broth with the heartiness of noodles. Each spoonful reveals the authentic depth of Malaysian spices, with a hint of lemongrass and turmeric enhancing the robust curry flavor. The tender pieces of chicken and vegetables complement the broth perfectly, creating a harmonious balance between spice and warmth that is distinctly Malaysian.

Lamb Curry Rich and fragrant, the Lamb Curry is a dish that embodies the soul of Malaysian cuisine. The lamb is slow-cooked to perfection, making each bite tender and flavorful, while the curry sauce bursts with a complex blend of spices and herbs. The use of traditional Malaysian spices like cinnamon, star anise, and cardamom elevates this dish, leaving a warm, lingering taste that perfectly complements the lamb’s richness.

Coconut Rice (Nasi Lemak) The coconut rice is a simple yet iconic Malaysian dish, and this version does not disappoint. The rice is fragrant and subtly sweet, with the richness of coconut milk permeating every grain. It’s the perfect base to pair with more robust dishes, while also standing out on its own with its soft, fluffy texture. The authentic preparation, using traditional Malaysian methods, truly enhances its delicate flavor.

Unfortunately, their Milk tea & coffee are...

Had an amazing evening with the wife and the in-laws here. We are from Malaysia and were craving Malaysian food so we drove our rental van to this small, but lovely and welcoming family-run restaurant just near the outskirt of Manchester city centre. We faced with a slight hiccup to our dinner that evening where there was a dispute between one of the waitress (who attended our order) and the kitchen staffs. This had lead to our order not being processed and were not prepared. We initally thought that because of our order size, they maybe need some more time to prepare it. We then asked the staff about the order after nearly 30 minutes and the lovely staff (who was also one of the family members of the family-run restaurant) swiftly communicate with the kitchen staff so that our order was prepared quickly. And just like that our appetiser and main course were being served one by one in less than 10 minutes. Plus, the staff (sorry I forgot to ask for her name) was very accomodating and helpful in getting our food served. They even put some extra effort into preparing our food in exchange for the slight miscommunication in the beginning. And the food was sublime. Could not ask for a better food with better company. I had the nasi lemak which to me taste similar to back home. The richness of the coconut rice and the spiciness of the sambal was spot on. A truly worthy food for its restaurant name. My family also enjoyed their food. You can even customise the level of spiciness to your liking. The environment plus the food really remind me of home. Overall had a fantastic evening in the restaurant. Minus the slight hiccup in the beginning, in exchange to some amazing food and welcoming staff had made my evening an evening to remember. This restaurant really live up to its name. To whoever took our order that evening, I wish you the best of luck in your future endevour. And to this family-run restaurant, I wish you all the best in your business. Hopefully it will grow into a much bigger success and flourish in the future. I hope that my taste bud will cross path with...

Firstly, I have dined here before and had a wonderful experience and I have also lived in Malaysia and can vouch that the food is very authentic and delicious. However, we were thoroughly disappointed by our experience this evening. We booked ahead of time for a 6pm sitting for the special banana leaf set menu. On arrival we were told that there were no tables available, even though we had booked. This was the case for 2 other families who had also booked and had been asked to wait. After 45 minutes of waiting outside we were finally given our table. From the minute we sat down, the serving staff were unattentive and really didn't seem to know what they were doing or have any understanding of basic customer service. We weren't given a menu until we asked. Drinks came separately and after a while. We said we wanted the banana leaf set menu and the staff looked at us blankly, eventually they understood what we meant. After 45 minutes we finally received our two chicken curries (the main of the set menu) we then waited 10 more minutes for the banana leaf set (breads, chutneys and veggies) to arrive. As I said, the food was delicious I can't deny that. The set menu was also supposed to come with a side of fried chicken which didnt arrive so we ordered it separately and that never arrived. We waited and waited to get the attention of someone to ask for the bill (bear in mind this is a tiny restaurant with about 7 staff members). The bill came and it had the fried chicken added on (which we never received) and a service charge which I thought was laughable. We asked for the chicken and service charge to be taken off, we waited ten minutes and then just gave them the right amount in cash as they never gave us an updated receipt. I'm really disappointed with the lack of customer service experienced tonight. As i said, the food is delicious and the service has been great in the past, tonight was just a...
