Golden Star — Restaurant in Manchester

I just ordered here for the first time and last. I'd seen the good reviews, so really shocked to find that the appetizer was pretty much inedible.

I ordered the salt and pepper spare ribs, but as you can see from the picture below, there was no meat on the ribs?? it was just bones covered in batter?

The fried rice and crispy chicken in chili sauce was edible but really average.

I have tried a couple of other Chinese in the area, lotus chorlton, noodle house in whalley range etc. But wanted to give this one a try....

Really good quality food, everything is made fresh and quickly. Staff are great, always friendly and happy to accommodate any special requests.
