I ordered online through the Star Pizza app, tried to pay by card for food and delivery, and the app wouldn't accept the payment. So I changed the payment method to pay in store and went to collect the food instead.
When I got there, I had my credit card in hand, ready to pay, at which point they suddenly decided to tell me it was cash only. I'd never had that problem there before, so I only had my credit card with me. The bloke behind the counter then very rudely told me, "there's a cash machine over there," and waved me away. I wasn't prepared to draw cash out on a credit card, so I said I'd have to walk all the way home again and get my bank card to go and draw some cash out. He just shrugged his shoulders, so I left and started walking home, at which point I decided they weren't having the money for how they'd just spoken to me.
I called them on the way home and asked them to cancel the order, at which point the guy on the phone demanded I pay immediately by bank transfer for the food, and they would deliver it instead. As you can probably guess, I didn't take him up on that offer, so he then argued it "wasn't fair on them" and that it was wrong of me to cancel the order. He wouldn't take no for an answer, so I just said they wouldn't be getting a penny for the faff they'd just caused me, and for the way they'd spoken to me, at which point he muttered something and hung up.
Safe to say, I'll never be going...
Read moreDissapointed. Ordered my food, got a phone call from the delivery driver saying he was down stairs, I told him I'd be a few minutes because I was coming down from the 15th floor. When I got to the gate no one was to be seen. After several phone calls to the delivery driver, he answered and told me that I collected my order. Obviously to my surprise, I complained immediately and told him I had not taken the order and he had given it to someone else. After several minutes of him talk nonsense. I called the shop. I informed him of the situation and he then proceeded to tell me I'm a lier and that he was at no fault for me not getting my order. After a few minutes of him arguing with me, when all could do was tell him the truth. He replied "I'm sick of your kinda people". Interpret that how you wish, but to me that's a racial or discriminative slur. At the end of phone call he wouldn't provide me with his name or means to make a complaint. He just kept referring to the head office. Waste of £13 and I've ended up with no food....
Read moreSo, I ordered through JustEat at roughly 8:10, we received a call shortly after confirming our order. Then at 8:48 we missed a call and called back straight away. I was told the order was cancelled and would not be delivered because of a history of fake orders from my mothers number. My elderly mother who NEVER orders takeaway, and certainly didn't last week. Refused to continue service unless we paid by card immediately, which was not an option and not something I would be willing to do when he called on a personal mobile. After some time he hung up and refused to pick up again, and they didn't update JustEat.
Decided to give one more call around 9:10 to check the number they said was used in fake orders. Called the business number, they gave me the wrong number. Not even the first 3 digits were correct. Then he claims they delivered 10 minutes ago but nobody was there, which is just a complete lie considering I had been next to the front door during that time....
