Jimmy's Manchester — Restaurant in Manchester

I can't give this venue even 1 star. After a recommendation we arrived as 2 couples for drinks on Saturday evening 29/03/2025. Immediately we could see that they were under staffed. 1 x male making cocktails behind the bar and 1 x female with a face like thunder running about doing other duties in the bar. After a 10 minute wait 2 x other people walked in behind us and went to the bar. The male bar tender who had by this time finished making the cocktails immediately served one of them which was a little bit annoying after we had already been waiting for 10 minutes. He took the customers payment and then came over to where we were patiently waiting and said who's next. To this I replied we are next. Immediately he said and I quote, because you are in my face I'm not serving you yet, you will have to wait, and he served the customer next to me who had clearly come to the bar 5 minutes later. I was shocked by his rudeness and behaviour. Someone with a bad attitude like that should not be working in hospitality in my opinion. I went over to my wife and friends who had by this time found somewhere to sit to tell them what had just happened at the bar, and they immediately said lets go some where else thats more welcoming and hospitable. We went for bottomless brunch. The drink service was to be expected and there was nothing over and above what we would think, drinks came, they were average, we drank them- they were fine. However, we didn’t get as many drinks in the 90 minutes that we have had at previous bottomless brunch establishments. The food though…The food was so bad. The bun was cold, untoasted, a simple yet important part to a burger, the actual meat of the burger was without a doubt frozen, unseasoned and not so much of kissed a grill, felt like it was cooked in the heat of the moment. The veg was floppy, mediocre and simply below par. The burger was nothing like the ones they display on socials. The nicest part was the blue cheese dip. Not really worth it. I wouldn’t bother again. Excellent staff, beer and prices. Visited this at the weekend when Manchester was baking and City was playing their first home game of the season. So was a little worried about what the service would be like. I needn't have worried. Fast friendly service all day. We stopped just for one, but when we got seats and a table in the sun and had our first pint of Jimmy's Cider, one quickly turn into half a dozen! Even though the place was hammered before kick-off time the service was wonderful. I had just had a very bad experience at the Crown and Kettle and boy oh boy they could do with visiting here and seeing what customer service is all about. Will be back again. Thanks all for...
