The Jane Eyre — Restaurant in Manchester

We visited this absolute gem last night to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't be more impressed. As a person who eats out a lot, it's hard to find new places that I 'crave' to go back to, this is certainly one of those places. From the welcome to the bill arriving, the service was exceptional. The brothers who own JE serve you themselves which I thought was a great personal touch. The decor is rustic yet modern and yet it feels really homely and cosy too. The food was outstanding. Every dish that arrived topped the previous, everything was so tasty, well presented and arrived piping hot, highly recommend the scotch egg, halloumi fries, salt & pepper chicken and pigs cheek, but it was all sensational! Amazing to have such an incredible place on the manchester food scene and I've no doubt I'll be returning time and time again. Great job guys,...

Have visited the bar several times now and had the best service and atmosphere in any bar in Manchester. The owner is great and very friendly . Good cocktails and food. Only eaten once but what we had was great a d good value. Small plates but tasty as anything . Recommend the mushroom risotto and the scallops both very good . My favourite cocktail being the Fools gold. Would recommend to anyone looking for a classy yet easy atmosphere where you can chat n enjoy a relaxing time . Had another visit ( one of many now). Went twice this month. Had a few small plates and cocktails on NYE which were all really nice - they even were happy to go off menu and make some Tommy’s Margarita for us which were fab!

Went again this weekend past and although the place was quite busy there was a really friendly doorman who told us to come in and he’d get us sorted. Just a really nice touch after trying a few places and having to turn around to leave again. You don’t usually get that from a doorman in my experience it’s usually a case of go in and fend for yourself 😂 but between him and the host we got seated at the bar within a few minutes...
