⭐ Honest Review: Sanam Sweet’s Restaurant, Rusholme ⭐ Total Bill: £19 for 2 people Overall Experience: Disappointing 😞 We recently visited Sanam Sweet’s Restaurant in Rusholme, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Dahi Bhalla Chaat – (-0/5) Completely lacking in taste. The bhalla was hard and grainy, overly sour, and had no spices or balance of flavors. We requested sweet tamarind chutney and onions to make it edible, but they said it wasn’t available and offered mango chutney instead with onons— which didn’t help. The essential kick of green chutney, roasted cumin powder, and chaat masala was missing. Sadly, I couldn’t even eat 2-3 spoons of it. The spoon provided to us was also a tea spoon not a full spoon. Samosa Chaat – (2/5) A samosa chaat should be a warm, flavorful combination of crispy samosas, hot chana, rich gravy, and chutneys. Ours was served cold and flat in taste — nowhere near satisfying. Masala Chips – (2.5/5) What arrived were just fries, over-fried and soaked in oil, dusted with some spice mix. Not impressive, but the only thing we could somehow eat. Desi Tea – (3.5/5) Finally, something decent. The tea was nice in flavor and color — a comforting finish, though the cup was quite small for a tea lover! ☕ Rubicon Mango – (4/5) It’s a packed drink, so no complaints there — consistent as always. Service & Ambience: Despite the staff clearly noticing that most of our food was left uneaten, no one approached us to ask if everything was okay. That lack of courtesy was disappointing. 💬 Final Verdict: We spent £19, but sadly, it wasn’t worth it. The food lacked freshness, flavor, and basic care in preparation. For me, this visit was truly not worth it — almost feels like “Sanam being bewafa.” 💔 Although this is my personal opinion about what we served. They might be good in some other aspects. Do share your view of you order the same food.

Came out of town to eat and decided to try out this place... What a big mistake that turned out to be. From the moment we walked in there was disappointment, the smell inside the restaurant was as though they haven't washed the fabrics in years, it was very off-putting for a place to dine in. In terms of food, starters were decent however we ordered chicken palak as a main, there was barely any chicken in this dish so we requested the managers assistance asking if we could change the dish as it was not explained that it would be DRENCHED with spinach and barely any chicken. So my friend (who has worked in many restaurants) proceeded to ask the manager if we could change the dish, he rudely said 'NO, it doesn't matter if you work in a restaurant' and refused to change the dish, his attitude was disgusting. I will not even start with the chicken biryani (bland & definitely not asian style as requested). No customer service skills amongst majority of the staff including the manager. After leaving almost all of our mains we decided to leave, after requesting the bill three times (on a very quiet evening) a very polite young gentleman named Kareem brought it over. He was very helpful and sets an example for a lot of the other staff who certainly don't look like they want to be there. They should definitely learn a few things from Kareem. Due to this experience I can definitely say I will NOT be returning, not even worth the one star required to post this review.

Pooriyan were light, crispy and excellent. Naan tasty. English breakfast tea refreshing. Service was attentive. We asked about the Paye and Haleem, waiter replied that’s what Sanam is known for. Complete disappointment. Complete waste of £108. It would have been better to go across the road and have a satisfying grill. Small portion of spread out chunnay which quickly went cold. Freezing cold halwa. Paya had no lace or texture zero flavour. Haleem tasted of something thankfully but flavours didnt blend or enhance. For Haleem it was bits of soft channa with bits of meat and the pre fried ginger on top but again no kick or fresh flavour. Nihaari was…just ok. Again small serving. Veg omlette incredibly oily and extremely disappointing. Omlette came with nothing. No options for toast. I guess you had to order something oily like parhata or naan. Save your money, better to do breakfast at home and spend money on meal out. Much better choice of breakfasts and much better tasting channa puriyan in Birmingham. Ordered a side salad. This was freshly cut and a nice portion. Not satisfying. Money wasted.

This place is slowly going down the pan I have been here regularly with my family and each time it’s getting worse! An easy time I’ve gave them the benefit of the doubt but definitely won’t be going again!

I went in an placed my order easily that’s the only best part of the day after this it was all downhill! Ordered poppadoms and had to ask twice for them, then when food arrived it was Luke warm once had to send it back to get it warmed up! Drinks still not arrived called waiter again for drinks which usually are there before any food arrives!

When wrapping up at the end told the waiter the food was not the best and service even worst! He then went on to state that we are understaffed and owners will not employ anyone! Which absolutely makes sense!

The worst part is yet to come, when I left to pay the old man at the till went back inside to clear tables, I waited a good ten minutes he came back and took two waiting guys inside, I then waved at him stating I’m waiting to pay and he came out and shouted at me saying these guys are before you I’m sitting them down then I’ll get you a table! My wife got angry and said excuse me how day you at my husband he’s trying to pay you and is that how you treat customers at the same time trying to take my money!

This place has gone down the pan I would avoid and maybe visit other establishments who will appreciate...
