Came to this kfc a few days ago, the item i wanted was not on the screens so I of course asked at the till, as i got to the till 4 members of staff stood conversing and as they saw me stopped and just stared blankly at me. I then initiated a hello, and they exchanged a look. One of the girls then ushered the male member of staff over “serve her then!” laughing. The item i had wanted turned out that they didn’t do at that time either, which was fine, not the staffs fault. The guy who ended up serving me was accommodating and apologetic enough, had glasses. So as i said thankyou anyway, they all seemed to just stare at me and looked blatantly confused. Then after my food was called and my number the bag was physically thrown/slammed across to me with no further comment. There was a stray drink on the side so i had asked if it was mine as It wasn’t thrown out with the food and had been sat there for a couple minutes quite far away. Which i feel like was a valid question as i wouldn’t have liked to take someone else’s drink. The girls working just seemed visibly annoyed and the attitude was so uncomfortable that I didn’t even feel like i could ask for a straw for my drink. As someone who also works in hospitality, don’t apply for a job at KFC if you’re not expecting to have to communicate with customers. And as for the staff on, i felt like there should have been an older or more authoritative shift runner present- a bunch of teenagers running a shift was not the most efficient or accommodating given the lack of basic...
Read moreI went to this KFC this evening as it was closer to Train station and I was craving for KFC.
I ordered for Zinger Burger Meal (£4.99) and wanted a pc of chicken.
Cashier charged me £6.98 (£4.99 for Zinger meal and £1.99 for PC of chicken). It seemed a little odd as there was offer of £1.49 for 1 pc of chicken AND any side with it if we go for selected meals and my Zinger Burger Meal was eligible in this deal as it was displayed on the big screens.
Cashier went to get his Manager (so called Roger - big guy with glasses) who approached me and closed his mouth and made that loud "mmmmmm" sound. It was very rude and unprofessional. I told him I am not paying £1.99 for pc of chicken only where as I can get pc of chicken AND any side for £1.49 (basically les money and more food). He just walked off and he realised he is not gonna win this argument.
Honestly, everyone else who was working agreed with me and one member of staff politely apologised (and said the cashier is New) and offered large fries to compensate for 50p. This was well done effort but Manager really needs like his job and be more considerate and helpful in this situation.
I hope Franchise owner takes notice and Manager (Roger) should be friendly and have a smile rather than dull unmotivated face (I really hope you didn't have bad...
Read moreI recently visited the Halal KFC in Piccadilly, Manchester, and my experience left me with mixed feelings. Let me start with the positives—the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They greeted me with a warm welcome and were patient in explaining the menu options, which is always appreciated.
Now, onto the food—delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The unique blend of KFC's secret spices was present, creating that signature flavor I love. The menu offered a variety of choices, and I was pleased to find a range of Halal options.
However, my disappointment came when I realized there was no seating available. The place was bustling with customers, and I had to settle for a takeaway. It would have been nice to enjoy my meal comfortably at the restaurant.
In summary, Halal KFC in Piccadilly, Manchester, delivers on food quality and has a fantastic, friendly staff. Nevertheless, the lack of seating can be a downside if you're looking for a dine-in experience. If you're okay with takeout or plan to visit during less crowded hours, it's worth savoring their...
