What an absolute mess this place was. Every time we went past this dessert shop, there would be a line right out the door, and I'd always think, "Wow, this place must be really good." Is it heck. There was no organisation, if like me and my family it was your first time there, you'd have no idea what the heck you should be doing. So basically, they have a "system" where you line up to order at the till, and when you have, they give you a table number to take wherever you sit. We stupidly left the line to find a table to sit at, so a couple of us had to rejoin it outside. Our desserts took 45 minutes, and when we got them, they had given a milkshake instead of a Sundae my cousin ordered, so we had to wait another 5 minutes for that. The desserts did look super pretty. Too bad they didn't taste pretty. I ordered the Lotus Biscoff Crepe. It was rubbery and chewy. I was so disappointed because I was looking forward to it. For some reason, though, we were given cups of water before our desserts, which was a bit bizarre as we noticed no one else got any, but we appreciated the gesture. The place is very aesthetically pleasing, and from the outside, it looks good, but the madness is within. Maybe whoever owns this place should hire more people so the ones that serve aren't running around like headless chickens.

Hands down- the best ice cream in Manchester. There's lots of flavours to choose from. Staff is very polite and lovely. There was a misunderstanding regarding our order (only because we didn't know what to expect) but there was no faulty with it whatsoever. One of the personnel came to our table to ask if everything's ok with our order and if it's not he'll be happy to give us something else with no charge. We said there's no need for that, the ice cream was amazing and we're happy with the order, there's nothing wrong with it. However, 15 minutes later there is the same gentleman approaching our table with waffles with Nutella (2portions) and bananas and ice creams AND a smoke bomb. Me and my brother were absolutely shocked as we haven't complained nor we thought that order was not good. The gentleman said he likes to make his costumers happy and that this was his gesture of appreciation. This is the first time something like that happened to me and it truly left me speechless. This is a true meaning of going above and beyond for a costumers. I want to say thank you once again for the hospitality and for this beautiful gesture. I'll come back with my family and I definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes the ice cream as much as I do.

Hi, Went to Rusholme yesterday for an evening meal then jumped into Moonlight for a desert to take back home and consume. When I opened the bag I was disappointed to see that the cake & ice-cream portions sizes had shrunk!!.. and I paid nearly £7 for this. This was my GO-TO place for desert for the past 20 years, but with the growing number of options now available in Manchester, I think its time to try the competition. I've also noticed a growing number of complaints & bad reviews listed on Google for Moonlight and the lack of response and engagement from Moonlight (owners). Looks like Moonlight has gone down hill and have lost there mojo!..Next-up Heavenly Desserts (also in Rusholme). Lets see if they can do better!!

Just left the restaurant a couple of minutes ago. Long queue gave the impression of good food awaiting. Results are very disappointing, we ordered 2 waffles, 1 crepe, 1 kunafa and 1 cookie dough. Out of all these only the cookie was warm. The rest were stone cold and Kunafa didn't look or tast like it should!!! It smelt horrible!!. They left the desserts on their counter in an open kitchen for a long time before serving us. And only served us after we asked for our food. When we complained about the cold desserts, the waitress touched our food, without asking, with her bare hands, to test if we were telling the truth. So the manger came but refused to accept the food was cold. So when we justifiably asked for a refund, he rolled his eyes and aggressively took the desserts away. He came back after a while with the refund receipt, WITHOUT an apology and took away the 3 little pots of ice cream that came with the waffles and crepe!! ... I mean really?!!! I didn't care for the ice cream but taking these away says a lot about their attitudes. Stay away from this shop if you value your...
