I’m a big fan of Nandos, but this place was let down by the service provided. Myself and my girlfriend went at about 8PM on a Sunday night and were met with a queue of people waiting for a table even though there was many tables free. It seemed like it was taking ages for the staff members to remove the leftover plates and clean the tables. Seemed like it was one lad trying to this along with greeting people and showing them to their tables. The wait wasnt too long, but you would think it would be non existent on a Sunday night. Food took quite a while to come out, waited half an hour for hummus and pitta bread to come out and then later on waiting half an hour for a salted caramel brownie that I had to go up and ask for because it was taking so long. Not sure if it’s understaffed or not (didn’t seem like it) or just poor management.
I’m back to edit my review (2/12/23) as I have since been back to this establishment since my original comments. Unfortunately nothing has really changed. We turned up on a Thursday at around 9pm and were met with a large queue of people waiting for tables. Although there was a queue, there seemed to be plenty of tables completely empty and clean. However no one was sat down. I can’t imagine attending this restaurant during peak hours on a Friday or Saturday. We ordered food and drinks via the app and waited so long for glasses (around 15 minutes I think) that I ended up going up and grabbing them myself. As we were waiting for our food we observed 2 tables returning their food as it wasn’t satisfactory, although I am not sure of the reasons. When my girlfriend’s food arrived, her peri salted chips were quite lightly salted. As I tried some I mentioned to my girlfriend that they were quite sweet as this was unusual. I had a look at them and could see granules of sugar on them, I thought maybe it would be salt so told my girlfriend to try one. She did and it was definitely sugar. We were both quite bewildered as why on earth were her chips seasoned with sugar? When my food arrived we asked for more peri salt and were given a couple of sachets. The salt from the sachets had a different appearance and didn’t contain the large granules of sugar. Other than that it seemed to go okay and the staff were friendly.

We were left waiting for our food for well over 1 hour with people who came after us getting there food 30 minutes before us and it wasn’t even that busy. So after waiting 40 minutes then asking where our food was, then being told it would be 20 minutes, so looks like they hadn’t even taken my order properly but not being honest about it. Then they had the audacity to ask how my meal was when it finally arrived at which point I made my feelings abundantly clear. The manager then said he would come back to see me to get my feedback on paper but surprise surprise he didn’t bother to come. The food when it came was no where near the standard you would expect dry chicken overcooked. Paying somebody for this level of service is a joke and they should be ashamed of themselves. Honestly they ruined my daughters day and I will never ever be going back. Read morei was disappointed with the service at nando's, and also with the attitude of the manager when i complained about it on 13th august, 2016. we went there because i have small children, and we expected to have the food served relatively quickly. unfortunately, my family waited over half an hour from ordering for the food to be served. this doesnt sound too bad, but we could see it sitting on the servery counter for ten minutes, getting cold, before it was served. four staff were happily chatting away to each other in the meantime, ignoring the food next to them. the manager was defensive when i complained. he said that they were 'busy'. however, the place was not even half full. i would hate to be there when it is full. although he offered to replace the food, i didnt want to risk waiting another half hour. he said that the food would have stayed warm under the lamps of the serving counter. unfortunately, some of the food was cold. i dont feel that he could have shown any less empathy. i will not be taking the family to...
