Old Moat Park — Attraction in Manchester

I have been coming to this park since I was a very small girl, We used to lovingly call it the ",Wreck" It had beautifully manicured lawns & bowling greens. An abundance of sweet smelling roses, amongst many other flowers & lastly, but of most importance to us kids as we got older, a summer house to sit in. It had changed remarkably, but I was very happy to see it is in more use than ever, Either by dog lovers walking their hounds, or local lads playing basketball & students playing football. I'm glad to say there is still a playground for the younger ones. & Was very pleased to attend anl event organised by a local Art group, with music, a variety of stalls & an array of activities. Great for little kids, plenty of space for picnic blankets e.t.c, and numerous courts with football goals and basketball hoops. There is also a pleasant section with flowers and shrubbery to unwind. A few climb-worthy trees aswell for the adventurous! In terms of size, its just a regular local park size. Great little park. Children's playground has a good range of equipment for little ones and bigger children. The park has 2 caged areas: a basketball court and a football area, it also has a grass football pitch.
