From the moment we stepped into Rudy’s Didsbury, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool—laid-back, vibrant, and full of that unmistakable Rudy’s charm. But what truly made our visit unforgettable were the incredible staff, particularly Kal and Dulcie.

Kal was an absolute legend—warm, welcoming, and full of great recommendations. His passion for the food and the place itself was contagious. He made us feel right at home, checking in with just the right balance of attentiveness and chill.

Dulcie brought the same energy—friendly, upbeat, and totally on the ball. She made sure everything ran smoothly, from drinks to dessert, and even added that extra sparkle with her genuine smile and positive vibes.

And of course, the pizza. What can we say? Rudy’s continues to set the standard for authentic Neapolitan pizza. The dough is next-level—light, airy, with just the right chew. Toppings are fresh and flavorful, from the classics to the more adventurous specials. We could genuinely taste the care and quality in every bite.

Whether you're a die-hard Rudy’s fan or a first-timer in Didsbury, this location delivers on all fronts. Big love to Kal and Dulcie for making the experience feel personal and memorable. We’ll...

We came here at the end of last month with high expectations but left very disappointed. I pre booked a table for my family and when we arrived it took at least 10-15 minutes for someone to come and take us to our table. Having previously worked in restaurants in various positions I was appalled with this. The waiter who took our order was reasonably friendly, which is why I have given two stars instead of one. The most disappointing thing was the pizza, it floppy and the toppings were falling off and the base was not crusty at all. I heard a lot of good things about Ruddy’s pizza since the first restaurant in the city centre but this was so disappointing. It’s nothing like the pizzas I have had in Italy and we made better pizzas in deansgate pizzeria Italia back in the late nineties. Ruddy’s in Didsbury may still do well because of all the busy young working professionals and almost all students these day are come from wealthier families. I’ve never seen so many students eating and drinking in Didsbury on a...

The pizza and garlic bread were delcious and served very quickly. The hot and cold(alcoholic) drinks were also top notch and personally I did not feel they were overpriced for the area.

I booked for my partner's birthday and when we got there the restaurant was very packed as a result of a 50 person party. I have been diagnosed with autism and generalised anxiety disorder and this unexpected situation (it was a random Wednesday evening so I didn't think it would be busy) caused quite a lot of anxiety in me.

The man who intially seated us in a very crowded spot aplogised and offered us a table in a quieter section after the next table left (5-10 min wait). He was very understanding of my anxiety, and I am very gratful that he made the effort to help us when the restaurant was so busy. The woman who served us was also very friendly, and we were brought a free shot of lemon liquour for my partner's birthday which was a lovely surprise.

Overall a lovely experience and I cannot thank the staff enough for...

Went on a pretty busy Thursday night for a spontaneous date night with my partner and the vibes were great from the minute we arrived. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff at the door who chatted away to us and made us feel comfortable and welcome from the get go. We were seated and our drinks order was taken right away. The special pizza was recommended to us so we decided to try it which we did not regret! The white based pizza with coppa ham was amazing, a creamy sauce with salty coppa ham and umami from blue cheese to cut through the richness of the white base, it all worked so well. We also got the nduja and pepperoni with hot honey, nice and spicy with the sweet honey, a combo that can't be beaten. Really nice staff and a dimly lit moody atmosphere to enjoy too quality pizza at a really reasonable price.

We’d JUST arrived in the area for a month of rest at the Nazarene Theological College and decided to walk into town to find a pizza place to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. As we reached the cross street, two young women were walking along and I asked if they could recommend a great place to enjoy pizza. They commented, “There are several good places in the area, but Rudy’s is the best!” The atmosphere was perfect - the cooks seemed to work as a well-oiled machine; the table service was terrific, and our server made sure we were enjoying every bit of our time. She even brought us an extra pizza and shared a tiramisu with my daughter to celebrate her birthday! The pizza was so delicious - I wanted to eat slowly to savor the wonderful flavors. We’ll be back!

Tried Rudy’s for the first time. It was a Monday night and absolutely packed so we were worried we wouldn’t get seated. We were seen to and they cleaned a table for us quickly. Whilst waiting for the table two more members of staff came to see us to make sure we were being served, which was nice considering how busy it was. A little confusing that uniform isn’t worn as at first we couldn’t really tell who worked there! The food came very quickly after ordering. We were served by a lady named Daisy and she was very polite and friendly. Made sure everything was good with us. The food was delicious - we had a garlic bread starter which was absolutely massive plus two pizzas not realising how big they were! Will definitely be back.
