From the moment we stepped into Rudy’s Didsbury, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool—laid-back, vibrant, and full of that unmistakable Rudy’s charm. But what truly made our visit unforgettable were the incredible staff, particularly Kal and Dulcie.
Kal was an absolute legend—warm, welcoming, and full of great recommendations. His passion for the food and the place itself was contagious. He made us feel right at home, checking in with just the right balance of attentiveness and chill.
Dulcie brought the same energy—friendly, upbeat, and totally on the ball. She made sure everything ran smoothly, from drinks to dessert, and even added that extra sparkle with her genuine smile and positive vibes.
And of course, the pizza. What can we say? Rudy’s continues to set the standard for authentic Neapolitan pizza. The dough is next-level—light, airy, with just the right chew. Toppings are fresh and flavorful, from the classics to the more adventurous specials. We could genuinely taste the care and quality in every bite.
Whether you're a die-hard Rudy’s fan or a first-timer in Didsbury, this location delivers on all fronts. Big love to Kal and Dulcie for making the experience feel personal and memorable. We’ll...
Read moreWe came here at the end of last month with high expectations but left very disappointed. I pre booked a table for my family and when we arrived it took at least 10-15 minutes for someone to come and take us to our table. Having previously worked in restaurants in various positions I was appalled with this. The waiter who took our order was reasonably friendly, which is why I have given two stars instead of one. The most disappointing thing was the pizza, it floppy and the toppings were falling off and the base was not crusty at all. I heard a lot of good things about Ruddy’s pizza since the first restaurant in the city centre but this was so disappointing. It’s nothing like the pizzas I have had in Italy and we made better pizzas in deansgate pizzeria Italia back in the late nineties. Ruddy’s in Didsbury may still do well because of all the busy young working professionals and almost all students these day are come from wealthier families. I’ve never seen so many students eating and drinking in Didsbury on a...
Read moreThe pizza and garlic bread were delcious and served very quickly. The hot and cold(alcoholic) drinks were also top notch and personally I did not feel they were overpriced for the area.
I booked for my partner's birthday and when we got there the restaurant was very packed as a result of a 50 person party. I have been diagnosed with autism and generalised anxiety disorder and this unexpected situation (it was a random Wednesday evening so I didn't think it would be busy) caused quite a lot of anxiety in me.
The man who intially seated us in a very crowded spot aplogised and offered us a table in a quieter section after the next table left (5-10 min wait). He was very understanding of my anxiety, and I am very gratful that he made the effort to help us when the restaurant was so busy. The woman who served us was also very friendly, and we were brought a free shot of lemon liquour for my partner's birthday which was a lovely surprise.
Overall a lovely experience and I cannot thank the staff enough for...
