Great pub, pretty beer garden, good food 👍 They had an mod-week offer on the banner outside "2 courses for £10" No more info inside and when we asked there wasn't much info given... all we could figure it was that there were less items on the menu for that offer which is reasonable but where we're those reduced menus? Ended up with 1 course each full price because we couldn't figure it out. Parking limited but plenty of street parking near by. The inside of this pub is beautiful.. very comfortable and impressive. Will return

Gratfood, we had our annual friends reunion Christmas do there and they sectioned an area off for us and kept the food and drinks coming, I had the cod goujons sandwich with chips and salad, can't go wrong really, hopefully next year I'll be back there 😎

Excellent Sunday roast. ÂŁ12 for just the main which was a pretty big portion with all the sides where everything was nice. They also do lots of offers other nights of the week that look good value. Cool interior and beer garden

Avoid this place!!! To start we were running a little late so we called to say we were. Ordered 2 sandwiches and a kids meal. My sandwich which was the Lancashire cheese I asked for the chutney to be separate incase I didn't like it. When it came it as 2 buttered slices of bread cheese on the plate so I had to make my own sandwich! Then the bar person brought the food my mum asked if she could have another glass of wine for the response to be sorry you'll have to go to the bar. Obviously due to finish his shift because he was sat at the bar with the other lady. Got to the last onion ring to find the bottom of the bowl was swimming in grease. So we made the lady aware when she passed and she took the dish and said she would make the kitchen aware. When trying to order a child's sweet the bar man was by him self with a few customers waiting to be served so when we eventually got to order the pudding we asked to pay the bill. 40 pound bill my mum asked if the onion rings would be taken off the bill so the lady serving us did say I can take them off but you did eat them! I do apologise I ate them from the top so I didn't find the grease until I got to the last one. We had to ask how long the pudding would be and it was given to us at the bar. So the bar man who was running round looking a bit stressed came up with 2 other children's desserts to a family behind us and when we said about the barman looking stressed at being left on his own he turned to me my mum and 5year old daughter and in the most aggressive manner and said don't you f**king talk to me like that. Then looked at the other 2 family's behind us and apologised. Hold on a minute you've just abused us in front of my 5yr old and apologised to someone else. Staff training needs serious restructure!!! Never will I step foot in this place...

Generally very good food. Tonight was spoiled however because a bin had been placed in the dining area in full sight of many diners so that bar staff could scrap off leftover contents from plates into it. Not what you want to see when considering a menu!

Having worked in restaurants myself I understand the necessary processes required in food disposal, but I don’t understand why it wasn’t done in a back room or separate location in the kitchen area.

To have a waist high disposal bin by the serving hatch I thought very odd. Perhaps it’s saved the two bar staff time by not needing to undertake a round trip to the kitchen area to dispose of the food but I found it very off putting that (1) It was being carried out at the serving hatch were fresh food was being served from the kitchen area (2) It was being carried out in the dining area (3) There was no observable nearby hand washing facilities available for barstaff. (4) The faces on a couple who had their food served and had the food disposal bin directly in their line of sight said it all!

A personal grump is that the lovely layout of the Parrswood means that there are loads of different sections in the premises and many dining customers would not have seen this. Only those in sight of the serving hatch would have observed it.

This pub is a really good neighbourhood pub always clean and tidy, and also generally serves some great dishes. In terms of “pub grub” it really does punch above its weight.

Unfortunately tonight’s experience was a let down and I really hope they do better...

We have eaten here a good few times and on a whole it's been good, last night was a bit below the standard we would normally expect.I ordered the chicken and chorizo paella,it didn't appear to have any chorizo, but had a lot of aubergine,s and corvette,s which were not on the menu.I told the waiter who asked how the food was as we were finishing off.He said he would mention it to the chef, but as we had vertually finished we said to leave it.We finished our meals and after about 20 mins,I had to go to the bar to ask for the table to be cleared and for the dessert menu. When the waiter came to take our order,I was offered a free desert which was nice of them to offer, and was accepted. When I went to pay I was told how much it was without a bill for me to check, when I asked it was produced. Then I was given to card reader to insert my card,so when I informed him I had a tab and my card was behind the bar,he looked a bit confused.Sorry it's a bit long but it's not anything I didn't mention at the time.Im sure we will visit again but if ordering the paella again I have to ask for more...
