What a lovely little pub down a side street off the main road. We was in Manchester for the day due to the football match. First time in Manchester we was looking for somewhere to eat and we was checking everywhere but all full so we just kept walking on the main road where we stopped and had a look round and I just seen a big notice on a side of a building saying great food. I made my husband to go in and see if there were any tables available. We was lucky there were a couple of tables free. We was welcomed by the bar man he was very friendly. Great selection of food. My husband had a burger with fries and a beer, my son had the southern fried chicken foot long sub with fries and a coke, I had the southern fried chicken wrap with fries and a J20 and a side of garlic bread. The food was amazing, cooked freshly and great value for money it was around £35. It also gives you 3 different options and prices that includes a drink, so you have soft drink, alcohol drink and drink premium drink some drinks are not included but it tells you on the menu what you can choose from. Very friendly staff. We would definitely go back there when we are next in Manchester. Highly recommended and you won't be...

Called in here on Friday night as there was a DJ advertised for the evening so took along a couple of friends for a drink and a bite to eat, the pub was fairly busy when we arrived and had a great atmosphere, we ordered a round of drinks, and Spoke to the young lady behind the bar who introduced her self as the landlady Becky, and A guy called Andrew who was the New assistant Manager there, I asked about the DJ who was on and they told me that it was a new DJ and they were going to try too see how it goes, We ordered some food of Hot Dogs for the four of us which were really plenty-full and tasty, i had been in here sometime back before the refurbish in which Becky told us that was done at the end of last year, we all agreed that the place was more welcoming and light and that it carried a great atmosphere, we stayed for the night, the DJ was really good and played the 80s, I would like to thank the Staff for a great evening for some great beers, and food and too Becky and Andrew as well as the other staff for making us so welcome and giving us an entertaining evening, we will definitely be back , Thanks again GUYZ... Steve, Matt,...

Visited here on a whim when I came to Manchester for the day with a friend and I was very impressed!! The place is very well kept and all the staff were so helpful. I spoke to Ian who I believe is the general manager and I can't praise him enough! He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable about the menu which I really appreciated, he didn't have any problems suggesting the vegan/vegetarian options that are available and also some GF bits too as my friend is coeliac. He also told us about the drinks offers without us even asking! Overall very happy and will be visiting again when we are back in...

Last few pints last night before heading back home to London. Used to live round the corner from this place and always have enjoyed a pint in here! Staff are always lovely, chatty and welcoming. Food looks good and hearty portions (friend of mine ate last night) and they have a good selection of lagers/beers on offer. Location is fantastic, near major hotels, Manc Picc Train Station and Piccadilly Gardens! Shows the footy too with loads of big screen - only downside is that it’s a City pub…. 😉😁 Top little boozer for a few pints and a couple of games of footy!! A gem!

Been here a few times now but first time had food so leaving a review..Booked table for 5pm for 2..Pre gig Lionel Richie food needed and no way were we paying the Co-op Arena prices. Food was excellent and great value. Used the MixR app to get the food and the many offers on drinks..Although the 2 for 1 margarita offer wasn't available. They offer 2 for 1 cocktails but wasn't clear on the app and originally only got 1..Lovely bar manager sorted this issue out..Great pub off the beaten track and ideal from Piccadilly train station for food/drinks pre gigs. 5 stars

First stop after flying into Manchester for a 10-day UK trip after taking the train from the airport to Piccadilly. This is a quick walk from the station if you’re craving a bite and a pint. Rustic boozer with a certain charm. Lots of groups of friends in here enjoying beers and crisps. A warm, convivial spot with equally friendly staff. Everything was great, including the chicken sub I ordered. An impressive array of draft and cask. And man do they pour a good pint of Landlord (they’re a Champion Club member).
