Wok — Restaurant in Manchester

I first tried the food from Wok back in January and the food was so spot on that I have been going back ever since at-least once a week. I was gobsmacked when I saw the menu they have such a big variety. Their food is freshly cooked, very tasty and well presented. I would recommend the Sai Kung dish from the Wok Signature range as it is fantastic.

The owners/employees were really friendly, attentive and service overall was excellent. I seen them freshly preparing my food as the kitchen is visible rather than already have it half cooked like most of these other takeaways. I would highly recommend anyone reading this to go and experience some proper Chinese/Cantonese...

Ordered chicken chow mein off their just eat website and after them messing up my order once I finally received what I thought I'd ordered. I received dry noodles in a dish with a few lumps of soggy overly processed chicken with mushrooms (which I'm allergic to) and peppers in a slimy sauce. No where on the menu did it state that the chow mein contained peppers and mushrooms. When ringing the Chinese to complain the man on the phone argued back rudely and told me it was my fault for not asking for no mushrooms and eventually hung up on me, leaving me after paying £5.30 for something I cannot eat. I think this place used to be something else and was a bit run down. It's now much cleaner and brighter but also a little bit more expensive. I have chicken sweetcorn soup for starters which was light and tasty not too gloopy which some places can be. Then had the salt and pepper chicken balls for main.
