Was really surprised at how very decent the food was here. We ordered the lamb chops and beef bao buns for starters. Lamb chops were served on a mini charcoal grill and were sublime - an amazing medium rare - but get those chops off the grill if you want them to stay like that. I guess the purpose of serving them this way is so that you could do them to your liking. But they were well marinated, tender and juicy. The bao buns were decent as well, they were a saucy sort of shredded beef in a bao bun - they could have done with a tiny bit of freshness to elevate the dish slightly but were not bad at all. For mains we ordered the black onyx ribeye and it was a superb cut of meat. It came out rare but also served with a hot stone to allow you to cook it to your preferred doneness. I would much rather skip the hassle of cooking the steak myself but the meat itself was really good, very tender and juicy - it was also a generous 12oz. The accompanying peppercorn sauce was ok as well and tasted like it was cooked using beef drippings and fond. We also got a wagyu burger but this was soon forgotten. They had done the wagyu burger to a perfect medium rare but I felt like the bun was a about a day or so past its best. But this place isnt about the burgers its defo about the steak. We got a side of pomme puree which turned out to be a little lumpy but very buttery. The palestine mojito and classic mojito were both very good mocktails with the palestine mojito coming out with a whole fire and dry ice show. The steak was similarly brought to the table in a dramatic golden box with all the dry ice you could want. Nice surprise to get a dessert on the house with our meal. This was a nicely dressed baklava dessert with turkish ice cream. Very nice touch. Atmosphere was a little loud inside and so this might not be the best place for quiet conversation but the servers and staff were fantastic. We arrived towards closing time but were not in any way made to feel like we received any less service because of it. All in all very pleasantly surprised at this little steak house, and am glad we went. Not the most refined meal but a memorable...
Read moreWhat can i say, first time coming here, was very impressed, all the staff very friendly, the one member of staff that stood out for me was Anoosha, thank you Anoosha for your excellent service with your beautiful smile. Keep on smiling you gangsta
The food was excellent, decor is beautiful, food presentation is very nice, the bao buns starter was very juicy and sweet, the prawn starter was lovely too with a bit of a kick to it. Highly recommend both starters. The steak i got was the Sirloin steak, it did have a bit more fat on it than i would normally eat at other places, which did mean i was chewing quite a bit and some parts i just had to take back out as it wasn't going down haha, but hopefully next time i'll get a leaner meat, but otherwise steak is very nice and juicy, the peppercorn sauce is amazing and has a slight kick to that too, the noodles was very nice but i wasn't a big fan of the little bits in it as they kept getting stuck in my teeth haha, the mocktail was lovely i got the mango chiller which i got scared when ordering as i didn't want it to be too overpowering and limey, but this one was made perfect when i say perfect i mean perfect could only taste a hint of lime the way it should be, whereas other places overpower the lime and make it tangy rather than sweet. This place does it perfect props to the bartender bossman, i wish i could have tipped more but my car insurance has skyrocketed this year out of my control so maybe in future.
The desserts were lovely too, first time i had french toast and was very impressed, the baklava tasted very good too.
Only thing to improve on i would say is cleanliness of the steak knifes, they had some bits stuck on some of ours, it was a bit off putting, but the bossman brought us another sets
Thank you for looking after us, this place is expensive but well worth it, i'll be back one day to do a highly requested video review hopefully for my channel once i get back into food...
Read moreAbsolutely brilliant food and service - the presentation of the food is good, but the key thing is that it has flavour. I have had steaks in other steakhouses that have no flavour and is quite bland. This had flavour and is truly amazing.
Tried the following today:
BBQ ribs - wasn't too fatty, had meat and fat, but the fatty part was well done and didn't mess up the flavour of the ribs as can happen if it is not done properly - 10/10 here
Lamb chops - cooked well, not at all chewy. My teeth cut straight though quite nicely and I've not been left with any stringy fibres between my teeth - no toothpick needed today - 10/10
Argentinian fillet 10oz - cooked to medium as mentioned on the website and served with a hot plate to cook a little more if medium isn't for you. Not going to lie, I read some reviews where people are complaining that the meat was not cooked how they wanted - it is pretty clear on the website that all steaks are medium and come with a hot plate - so to anyone who says something about how it's raw, a hotplate is used to cook it further, definitely use it. Anyway, the steak - 10/10
A note to any beginner steak eaters or anyone who enjoys chateaubriand - fillet is what you want (it's the alternative name for chateaubriand).
Dessert - french toast - see the video in the media section - this was on point - tasted like a waffle with the texture of marshmallow within, served with a nice gelato (sorry no picture, just the vid)- once again 10/10
Got to give a special thanks to:
Mady - good sense of humour and friendly service, overall brilliant personality Amr - really polite, allowed us a choice of seating, good sense of humour, amazing personality as well!
The service from all the staff was incredible, but in terms of names I managed to get, the 2 above and definitely the kitchen staff, without whom I wouldn't have had a...
