Martins Bakers & Sandwich Makers — Restaurant in Manchester

I take my builders van to be repaired nearby .I pop in here for a sandwich or a pie now and then. The staff here seem more friendly and attentive than the other Martins bakers I have visited whilst on the Road. Nothing seems to much trouble for them. Always generous amounts of salad on my sandwich and the meat and potato pies are always hot and fresh. PLEASE DON'T replace these staff with incompetents and jobsworths...

I went in around 9am ish... I wanted breakfast, however.... All the breakfast items are kept under heat lamps for ages and it all dries out and looks nasty, the bacon looked so dried out you could use it as shoe leather. Someone in front of me got a sausage barm and to my surprise, the woman took the sausages and put them in the microwave for 20 seconds or so before serving them....they looked like black...

Cheap and simple and taste good The sandwhich in the fridge are pretty basic but I haven't had a chance to come earlier to get a custom sandwhich (which they said have halal chicken for it) I usually go for the sprinkle cake for like £1.30 And the vegetarian pasties taste pretty good tho the cheese and onion had that smooth mashed potato feel but i prefer it chunky.
