Sandy’s Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Mansfield

Went here to try the new Christmas menu they had just launched, (turns out we were customers 1 & 2), and it was absolutely SUPERB. We had the full 3 courses, which is only £18 and everything was beautiful, the food is piping hot, tastes great and you get a good sized portion. The chef, (Lenny), even came out to talk to us to make sure we were happy with everything, she was so lovely. The staff are so attentive, and Mandy at the bar always made sure we weren't waiting for drinks and did we want another round. We visited here for Sunday lunch, having not been for a while and we weren't disappointed. It is by far and away, the best value for money Sunday lunch around, despite the slight increase in the price. The staff are extremely efficient and attentive and very friendly. The food is cooked perfectly and there is a good selection of veg on the plate. We had a Sunday dinner, but other meals also looked great(I was being nosey). We will definitely be coming again and we may try and fit a dessert in next time, although I doubt we will have...

Been coming here for many years and never had a complaint. But last visit, the food was awful! The burger was like a slightly warmed leftover. Lifted the top and the cheese was congealed and glued to the burger, a layer of breadcrumbs sticking to it from the stale bun. Fries were always great, with a delicious coating. This time they were unpeeled and full of black imperfections with no coating, inedible! If you aren't making a profit, raise the price, don't lower the quality. Visit was 20th April '22.
