Boston tea party is a medium sized chain of coffee shops in the midlands and the south west of England, from previous visits at their branches down in Bristol I expected the coffee to be good. I paid the Solihull branch of Boston tea party a visit on the 19th of September 2025. I chose to buy a takeaway flat white, whoever reads this review please note that Boston tea party have banned use of disposable takeaway cups 4 several years now, they do have reusable takeaway cups there for a fee, I anticipated this so the photograph of a flat white in this review is in my own reusable takeaway cup. They still serve a bespoke blend from @extractcoffee and it still tastes the same as it did the last time I paid a visit in 2017! A staff member said that I was in for a treat, I said I'll be the judge of that! And the judgement is it was quite good!

Really nice poached eggs. The kids meal was quite large and filling for the little ones. There is also an option to choose breakfast items for £1 each, so depending on how much you ready you can have a good sized breakfast. We were told it was cheaper to get the poached eggs and toast as a meal as opposed to separately, but it ended up being more. They were tasty and the middle of the egg was soft and gooey. The today was big and four slices was enough for the two eggs. A friend ordered the veggie breakfast and it was massive. He said that it tasted nice, the hash Browns and veggie sausage, so I might give it a go next time. Will definitely go back. As always, prices are relative so please look at the menu before you go. Two kids meals, two poached eggs and toast meals and a drink cost about £18. It was filling though.

As voted - best speciality coffee shop in Solihull! Guest roast flat white is a must to try, they also do dairy alternatives! Next great thing is variety of healthy smoothies- my favourite so far is -the green one - but have a look at the menu as selection is big. Oh and cakes .. Made from scratch in the store! And looks so delicious - Vegan an GF options available too 😍 Store is spacious and very funky, plenty of place to have your own little corner or visit with all family for a brunch . Definitely will be back for a meal next time 👍🏽

Been to the one in edgbaston before and it’s the second time I’ve been to this one but definitely wouldn’t again. We ordered a toastie & an English breakfast alongside a smoothie and a latte. Our smoothie and latte had come after we’d eaten our breakfast, ordered another portion of frites and that came after our meal too. When I asked about our drinks halfway through our breakfast we were given water instead and told it was on our way. When the coffee finally did come it was very bitter and tasted like a petrol station machine bought coffee- absolutely awful. To say I’ve seen it so much busier I’m very surprised at the slow service and how much they’ve taken off the menus from before. There was no white bread so I settled for granary. Asked for no onions in my toastie they told me they were pre made so offered me the childrens toastie and told me it was the exact same but instead it was a bite size portion with chips and given my chips came way after we’d eaten there was no point in me ordering more. Disappointed. May have to stick to the edgbaston one which has a way friendlier service or...

Vastly overpriced with poor service. 6 friends and I went for breakfast today as a works xmas treat. I got walloped £3 for a small glass of luke warm 'homemade lemonade' that tasted vile. I paid £11.95 for the Boss Breakfast - tasted ok (nothing special) but was really poor value for money . Most of the plate was taken up with 2 (virtually raw) grilled tomatoes and tinned beans. You only get 1 x sausage , 1 x strip of smoked bacon plus the hash browns a couple of sliced mushrooms and toast. I dont know what 'hogs pudding ' is as advertised on their menu , but what ever it is , I didn't get any ! . They took their time in serving the food and brought it out in dribs & drabs - so much so that I had finished my meagre plate before some of my friends had even been served. At no point were we attended by the waitresses after being initially served to see if all was ok or if we wanted extra drinks etc. Should have gone to...

Food was ok... but food didnt come out together half had finished before the others came out, forgot half the order had to ask the staff where the food was then where the drinks where. Girlfriends birthday and was last to get her food and drinks as i had finished mine. The staff brought the surprise birthday cake to the table to ask us what we wanted to do with it.... there went the surprise (not rocket science)... Over all slow and disappointing for the cost very busy but ordered on the app so dont no how they got it so wrong. Only getting a 2 star because food was ok should of been a 1 star.

Edited after reply..... so if you want to eat as a family dont go when they are busy then... we had to ask staff where our food and drinks where..... wasn't asking to sing happy birthday ... but missing the point bring the cake to the table asking what u would like us to do with it isnt the best...thank you...
