Go to this chain a lot, however disappointed with this one sadly šŸ˜•

Dirty tables and the food wasn't great. Whilst the burger was nice, the coleslaw appeared to be just a few strands of dried cabbage, and the chips were excessively salty. Had to shake the salt off and they were still salty. One of our guest took their curry back as it was cold and inedible. The flat bread was solid, too.

We called the waitress over from the bar area, who initially seemed reluctant to come over, but when did, she was pleasant and agreed to change the food. Apology given, which was appreciated.

The food returned after 10mins of waiting and it was much better - however, the guest in our group was left to eat on their own which ruined the vibe. We raised this with the waitress, who explained that the chef had been working since 6am and was tired, and expressed their apologies again. The waitress advised that she'd return to check on things, however this did not happen at all.

In fact, we encountered no interaction from staff from this point at all. This was disappointing because the staff were there and not busy, because we walked past them talking amongst each other behind the bar.

We left...

Have been here many many times, seems that a lot of the staff have changed. Used to be a lovely atmosphere home from home. I bring my elderly mom regularly as she feels comfortable here. Late morning today we came in and asked if we could sit at a table in the window a couple had just vacated, I said I completely understand I may need to wait. My mother can’t walk up the steps very easily and loves watching the world go by in the window. I asked a couple of young girls, who were at the far end of the bar, anyone would think I was asking for gold. The look on both their faces made us feel like we were really putting them out. Apologised and they still made me feel like I was asking for something that was really putting them out. We came for food but we were made to feel so uncomfortable we just had a coffee and left. They didn’t even give us a menu. Such a shame as it used to be such a wonderful place with great service. The guys were polite and lovely but the two girls made us feel awful. I’m sorry to say I won’t be rushing back after being long term customers...

Great food and drinks and friendly helpful staff. Nice and cosy feel about the place and it's much bigger inside than it appears from the front. It is very clearly a COVID safe place with good cleaning in place, single use menus and good spacing between tables. We observed tables being cleaned thoroughly almost immediately after a customer had left, and new menus placed once the table had been cleaned. You can also order via their website if you want to order contactless.

Update: having been here a dozen or more times since I first left this review, the staff have just got friendlier and more helpful and the food continues to excel and is very well presented. My wife has a gluten intolerance and it's lovely to come to a place that has an actual full menu for different allergies without any compromise on the taste and texture of the food. Absolutely incredible place and I couldn't recommend it enough no matter what time of day you...

Come here quite often with friends in the afternoon just wanted a light bite and it’s a convenient location. Straight forward ordering, not too busy so didn’t wait too long for first drink or food. Helpful server brought the food really friendly. There was a huge loud table pretty much next to us, not sure if this was staff doing tasting or something similar. Ordered an iced matcha latte, I’ve had this here before as well as in a dozen other coffee shops, you don’t blend it as a frappe, this was not made correctly but, I didn’t see a member of staff to tell for a while so just drank it. Ordered more drinks after eating and waited 14 minutes just for a lemonade because the staff were all talking to the one large table of people. Honestly we were just wanting to go at this point! No toilet paper in one of the toilets, fairly clean though. Really nice food though and large choice on the menu.

Paramo Lounge is a lovely, cosy cafe at the heart of Solihull. It serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and the menu caters to various dietary requirements. The food portions are generous and always taste delicious. The inside of the Paramo Lounge is also absolutely beautiful šŸ˜ There are paintings and artworks displayed throughout the Lounge, music is always playing, and it has a lovely, chilled out atmosphere. Near some of the tables are collections of children's toys and colouring pencils so young children can have fun and play whilst waiting for food. It's also a dog friendly place, as people bring their dogs inside too. The staff are always so friendly, smiling, and welcoming. I recommend having food at Paramo Lounge - great food, great service, great atmosphere!

I really needed to eat as I am diabetic. I ordered my lunch and it arrived, but the egg was overdone. One of the staff came, took the egg, and never replaced it. The order said it would be 15 minutes, but no food arrived. Luckily, I spoke to another staff member, Samantha, who listened, took action, and spoke to her manager. The manager, James, was solid; he understood, delivered great service, and was super polite. It's people like this who are truly valuable for the business. The breakfast was yummy and nicely done. The diet coke tasted amazing, but I have to say this: the inside of the place has history, lovely decor, and a nice atmosphere.
