Greggs — Restaurant in Metropolitan Borough of Solihull

If you go in for breakfast then the bacon is usually stuff to break your teeth with or has an odd taste same with the sausages, the eggs taste terrible. As for the rest alot of the time they are busy so they don't prep enough food to keep things going so quite often there is a wait for food to be cooked. The sausage rolls quite often have a very strange taste don't really like Greggs recipe for pastry either, same with the mayonnaise terrible, I personally think the chef at head office that makes up all these recipes has no taste buds as for a company as big as Greggs the food is awful I personally think its because they use as cheap as possible ingredients. The one redeeming feature is the staff are lovely can't do enough for you and if you have issues with the food/drink they are quick to sort it...

Queuing out the door most morning after a 10min wait this morning gave up and went elsewhere,

Service has declined in my opinion due to online apps ?

Great staff at this store 👍

But unfortunately online targets matter more to the Greggs company than face to face customers queuing out the door ? made worse when short staffed ?

So when you have 10 customers queuing out the doorway and a just eat order ? the online order takes priority ?

And when short staffed you’re just expected to wait ? shame the manager doesn’t have the authority to switch the app off when short staffed and concentrate on the customer in the shop ?

On Saturday I was in Greggs (Hobs Moat) waiting in the queue to be served, when a man at the front was being very rude to the staff. He was asking for a particular way for his bacon to be cooked. I felt really bad for the lady serving him, as it wasn't very nice and at one point I nearly said something to him. The shop was very busy and he was just being dam right awkward. Just want to say well done, fair play to that lovely blonde woman for not loosing it with him, she did better than I would have. Hate seeing people talking down to others especially when they are just trying to do their best. Love Greggs and this shop is my regular stop off, so carry on doing what you're doing, you are doing...
