This establishment has changed many times over the past 12 years. Now they seem to of got it right although it can be pricey. This does not put us off from being a regular customer because you get superb drinks and food... You get what you pay for! My children are always welcome in here and particularly love the milkshakes which are presented beautifully and very tasty. The bar area is always clean and vibrant with vases of seasonal flowers adding a touch of elegance. I have only ate in the restaurant a couple of times but I have enjoyed what I have ordered. We returned today after a few months, it was really quiet and it didn't have the usual atmosphere. I guess the Solihull food Fest was on so establishments probably are quieter. Anyway Guinness and Savy bland were good 👍

Came for an early lunch and noticed pretty much all staff were eating in the kitchen, presumably having their breakfast. It was a bit off putting particular the lady by the pizza oven wearing gloves eating a sandwich and touching her mouth. She wasn’t alone and I am shocked the management allow staff to eat whilst working and preparing food. Food wise the pizza and burger was good but the half chicken was cremated and dry. Service was very slow considering the place was empty with tons of staff and they have the cheek to add 10% service automatically and then the card machine also asks for another tip!! The lady taking the payment acted dumb that she didn’t speak good English and didn’t know what the card machine was saying. I wasn’t born yesterday.

This is a lovely place to eat, drink, or hopefully both. They have a proper Pizza Oven and make proper authentic Italian Pizza from scratch, no bought in frozen pizza bases. I'm a pizza snob and this is heaven on a plate. I took a wrong turn for the toilet and wandered into the kitchens. They were spotless, the toilets were also immaculate. This is a high standards - high quality establishment where quality and attention to detail are not overlooked. It also has really friendly staff and I'm eager to go here again. I know it looks like a regular pub from the outside but give it a try and have your expectations exceeded.

Odd review this one, as we never managed to actually get here. We booked in early August to come on September 6th for simply drinks for around 40 people to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. All seemed fine.

On September 1st, 4 days notice, I received a call informing me they would be cancelling our booking and asked 'is that OK?'

You can imagine what I wanted to say but I managed to just say no! There was no offer of anything such as a compromise or some vouchers to soften the blow. After calming down I sent a text getting some things off my chest including the consequences for them and me of informing 40+ the night was now off, and that my wife was close to tears when I called to tell her.

This did spur them into calling back eventually to offer their venue in Warwick, or the night before in Solihull on September 5th. So, we either taxi everybody over to Warwick, or everybody changes their diaries/babysitters to fit in with the Lazy Cow.

Luckily, the Metro Bar & Grill stepped in and fitted us in at very short notice, they couldn't have been better. Looking at some reviews on here it turns out we could have been quite lucky as it turns out.

We could see some sort of event going on there on Saturday with fire-eaters and red carpets which may have been very important and more profitable for them. Meanwhile, there are 40+ people, plus further friends of theirs, who are unlikely to be visting the Lazy Cow anytime soon. I won't be visiting there anytime...

First impressions: clean and sanitary. Social distancing in order with staff wearing masks.

Starter - mozzarella bruschetta and scotch egg. Just the right portion sizes and left us hungry for our mains.

Mains - pork roast and beef roast. The meat, Yorkshire and potatoes were absolutely delicious. I said to my other half that I think the yorkshires might be fired in the pizza oven. They were different and really really tasty. I should mention it was quite late in the day that I booked. I told the waitress (I can’t remember her name) that I was a little disappointed that there were some vegetables missing from my plate (I had a single carrot, and it had a lovely smoky flavour so I would have loved more!). She explained that our roasts were the last to be served and offered to speak to the manager. We were kindly gifted two free desserts, a more than fair compensation for the lack of carrots! We were not expecting this so accepted with gratitude, as the desserts looked incredible.

Dessert - baked cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. OH MY. Just divine. Really nice way to finish the meal, delicious!

Rounded off, we had a fab time, the service was really great, staff were friendly and attentive. The other dishes that were leaving the kitchen looked just as mouthwatering. We had a nice view of the open kitchen. The pizzas looked really good, so we will definitely be back to give those a try!

Thank you for a...

A table was booked beginning of January for my soon to be daughter in laws hen weekend meal & drinks for around 16 people. Someone in our party telephoned to add places to be told our table wasn't booked. After a while they said we can still go ahead as they can fit us in. Downhill from there, from mouldy olives to myself mother of the groom finding plastic in my roast beef dinner followed by 3 other party members having mouldy celery on there cheese boards. Manager was useless, tried to say meal wasn't looked at before sending them out. We had a chef a pub manager & myself who currently works in the pub trade so we all know how exceptional customer service should be. This manager was utterly useless & made poor excuses after another. This hen party started on Friday night on such a high & The Beech House ruined our whole experience in my opinion. Disgusting customer service by the manager, we still left a tip to the lovely waitress who served our party, she couldn't apologies enough. In my opinion the manager could learn...
