This cafe used to be really good, but it has gone down hill very quickly. They clearly didn't have the extractor fans on, as it smelt like a greasy spoon when we went in. We were served drinks in dirty cups, and the lad who was "clearing" tables was wiping around the menu's which were on the tables, rather than picking them up and wiping the table down properly. The floor was dirty (food scraps all over the place), and people were being given dirty napkins from a pile behind the counter which the lad said "oh yeah they're the dirty ones"... We don’t tend to pay a tip for a service BEFORE actually experiencing the service, as it happens the level of service we did get wouldn’t have warranted a tip. Two coffees, two slices of cake and a glass of water, all bought over one at a time! Makes you question if that’s because we didn’t tip?... the portion size of one of the cakes was also questionable given the price. Shame really as it quite a quirky looking place however I doubt we will use it again. Also never experienced a coffee with iridescent bubbles on...

Giving an overall 2. However the Victoria Sponge we had was rock hard and tasted awful, however they did replace it with no question. But the lady next to us experienced the same thing, she had to change hers. Strangely the staff didn't remove the last remaining sponge. The coffee I had was the worst I have had so far.
