Upon coming in rather small, and in close proximity of other tables. From the off yes it was very busy but for a restaurant floor staffed by approximately 6 waitresses Iād of expected better. It almost felt like a step up from Weatherspoons as there was a large group of lads being very unnecessarily loud shouting could hardly hear my friends speaking in-front of me, this certainly caught the attention of other people trying to enjoy there meal. Had a table of 4 booked for 7pm, and would estimate we waited 30 minutes for our starter. Just before our starters came another table called out to the staff to say āour starters havenāt even come out yet weāve been waiting agesā This raised a few eye brows, what appeared to be our starters coming towards us was seen attempting to be put on another table then the food was walked away eventually we got our starters. The loud noise from the group of boys sat out back continued so this just set the mood pretty bad. Starters cleared was all told āIāll let the chef know your ready for your mainsā Two other tables who were 30 minutes behind us had already had there mains and offered dessert menus, by this point it had been 50 minutes waiting for our mains, by the point of us getting them once it was raised to staff we had waited well over an hour. Food came out piping hot (steam flying off my plate) in comparison itās like taking food out the microwave, I had ordered the seafood risotto and my friend had mushroom risotto both extremely overcooked, on the seafood risotto there was hardly any of the actual risotto itās self and for Ā£16 it was pretty foul, at this point I was pretty hacked off. I requested to speak to the manager explained everything he approached our table to offer us all free drinks not a deduction off the bill which I thought was pretty poor and tried offering us all a free lemonchello shot which wasnāt free it was complimentary as every other table got one. personally I wont be visiting again as its not a night where I will look back on and say I enjoyed. But hats off to the waitresses on the floor as they did what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered takeaway for delivery from here yesterday evening (via Uber Eats). Our first time trying Andiamo's food.
We ordered La Donna pizza that has pear on it. Wow, I had never tried that before and it worked perfectly š„° My husband had a pepperoni pizza and my daughter had the ravioli. Everything was incredibly delicious š
We are really picky on takeout as my husband makes fantastic food. This has instantly become one of our new favourite places to order from. We're also keen to have dinner in the restaurant sometime too as their food is great.
We even liked the pizza boxes, really nice design, and clever to have a foil backed liner, both helping to keep it warmer for longer, but it also meant the whole pizza box could be recycled ā»ļø (other places use liners that let things go through to the box base, making it less recycleable).
Just a small feedback point: because it was delivered by Uber Eats (who understandably had more than one delivery to make in a run), the food wasn't a great temperature. It was warm, but hot would have made it amazing.
Also, a personal preference, I would have liked my pizza toppings a bit more evenly spread across the pizza (La Donna). But that's a tweak rather than a criticism.
Overall, it was a big hit with our family. We'll definitely be ordering again, and hopefully, we'll go to eat there in person sometime soon, too.
Bravo Andiamo š Thank you for opening in East Grinstead. You're very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery Disappointed, pretty much sums it up. The staff I think were nice enough & attentive, & the garlic bread with cheese was definitely the only other positive I can give. The garlic bread lured me into thinking what was going to follow would be flawless. The reviews massively over hype the place & build up far too high of a standard to deliver. Itās not that it was terrible as such, it was just really average & considering its priced on par with other Italians restaurants Iāve been to that are far, far better, itās over priced.
The pizza went cold quickly & the base turned rock hard. The spaghetti Pomodoro was drowning in sauce, & the bolognese honestly was very bland. Both dishes the pasta was very soft/over cooked.
The atmosphere was my favourite thing, it feels homely & has a nice aura, although be warned it can feel a little cramped as thereās a fair few tables in a small area.
As of yet Iām struggling to find any dine in restaurants in east Grinstead that I can give a really good review to, & I think the locals really donāt venture out of the area, because if they did, this wouldnāt be rated 5 stars.
Itās not often I begrudge paying a bill, but considering I got bored of eating & didnāt even ask for the bill, just got up to pay, I regrettably can say I...
