Horrible experience. Whoever the owners are, left their two employees, one on their first day it seemed and the other a very kind girl who was doing everything as well as dealing with customer complaints. Her name is Yasho, she was incredible and so apologetic, she tried to resolve every situation but unfortunately being on her own that was absolutely impossible. As for the other girl she was very polite and apologised for the delay on the till but she should not be put on till without proper supervision or training. I work at Starbucks and I thought the service was absolutely disgraceful. The two owners then came out and started helping as if nothing happened and there weren’t a queue of unhappy customers. This costa is horrific and I will never go here again. Also THEY TAKE MISTAKES OUT OF THE EMPLOYEES PAYCHECK. Read moreI have seldom been to a Costa with more miserable, slow staff. I stood at the counter for 7 minutes before I asked one of the two men who were chatting to serve me. With a raised eyebrow he condescended to take my order. I received tea instead of coffee and when I remonstrated was told not to shout (I wasn’t) I was thrown a cup of black coffee and when I asked for milk I accidentally spilled a couple of drops on the floor. Read moreI’ve been to quite a few costas recently (good old maternity leave) and I usually have a sugar free cinnamon bun latte - I know Costa offer this so ordered it and was met with a very rude “we don’t have that, it’s sugar version only” bit surprised I said “oh I’ve been to a few costas and they have it” and responded with “well we don’t”. Just thought it was a very rude interaction that wasn’t necessary… ordered a sugar free caramel latte instead - the coffee was burnt/bitter and it was 1/3 just foam… I paid for a medium and basically got a small with a tonne of foam.
