The Ounce & Ivy Bush - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in Mid Sussex

Awful experience, 55 minute wait for food, one dish suddenly was only available as half a portion after paying full price. After 55 minutes I enquired where food was, to be told a further 20 minute wait. My youngest child, aged six had been patient for the first 55 minutes, but being told still no food for another 20 minutes just resulted in tears for her and frustration for my family who felt our time had been wasted. To top it off, drinks that were free as part of the meal got charged for as we felt we didn't want to wait for food any longer the later it got. I felt that for our inconvenience , to charge for the drinks after that, after we had waited in good faith for the food to arrive, was really awful and showed no goodwill. Very understaffed and I felt bad for the one guy who seemed to be waiting on the entire wetherspoons. Such a shame as we like dining here...

Easy to walk past this Spoons as it's inside another building which I believe might be the cinema. We missed it & had to turn back before we realised it was the pub we were looking for. Unasumming from the outside but the inside made up for it. Lots of available seating inside and a few tables & chairs outside. Pay for parking right outside which is useful but not many spaces unfortunately. Prices for drinks and food are average. Prices are normally dearer in London or at the O2. Pint of Bud Light was £1.99. We had a chicken pizza to share as a snack. It was fine. Spoons food has really gone downhill & I wouldn't have dinner due to persistent recent disappointment . Staff were friendly. Pub was clean. Tables needed clearing but otherwise ok. Wouldn't feel the need to return....

Not been here for years its a Spacious Wide open Wetherspoons Fairly busy when we called in on a late Sunday afternoon Tables cleared quickly and cleaned properly between customers We decided on having the small plates offer and had an 8 inch meat feast pizza and 2 x 10 pieces of chicken wings Its not a bad deal The wings come with 2 dips Blue cheese and Sriracha which is hot and spicy Overall a nice handy reasonably priced snacking meal We ordered by the App everything was quickly brought out and the waitress was very polite and pleasant, she returned after a few minutes to ask if everything was okay. No complaints about the service Toilets are clean and tidy. Overall a pleasant...
