Little nice cafe located on top of town with decent seating area despite its small size. They have breakfast and lunch menu and freshly baked bread every day. Staff is welcoming and friendly.
I remember when Flint Owl cafe first opened in East Grinstead - they had such amazing vegan and vegetarian food options then. I now go there from time to time to get banana bread or vegan blueberry muffin for my little one but would rarely get any lunch due to the limited veggie options. They usually have some sort of fried kimchi sandwich for the vegan option and a mozzarella toast for the vegetarian. They also have salads, but I find these overpriced. The vegan cakes are a bit of hit and miss - sometimes they are lovely and moist and sometimes extremely dry. Their bread is good and they have a variety of wholemeal, walnut, rosemary, focaccia and sourdough options.
It would have been nice if the cakes and bread were not by the door, but they have placed some sort of plastic shield to protect the cakes. Perhaps the same thing could be done for the bread and have stuff pick the desired bread and not...

This sudden change left me scrambling for alternatives, feeling utterly disappointed and frustrated.
Upon questioning their actions, I was met with a dismissive attitude, lacking any semblance of apology or acknowledgment of their mistake. It was around 8.45am on Sunday ( opening time is 9am) I was about to enter the bakery when the girl in the front of me quickly turned around and said we are not open and almost smashed my face with the door , nearly lost my balance and felt I'm 9 months pregnant It is hard to walk and keep balance at this stage. Thanks God my husband was behind me and he helped me. Also I'm hard of hearing couldn't hear what she said. You don't. Talk to people like that. Turned to the person say good morning or something and be nice, don't play spoil little girl card. Nev er again...
