I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to eat when I walked in but the big choice of sundaes settled my mind very quickly. This is how I ended up devouring a yummy Lotus Biscuit Sundae! In the meantime, my wife was enjoying her salmon bagel with salad and crisps on the side. We enjoyed our food and the overall experience so, most likely, we'll visit it again but to get the 5th star I think they should put more attention to details. My latte was served without a teaspoon and the food was served without napkins. I noticed the same happening at the table next to us, where they had to call the waitress just to have some napkins.

I am a gluten-free foodie. When in England, I Research the best gluten-free high tea. I was staying in East Grinstead, so this little spot popped up for me. The scones were so perfect that I ended up buying her entire inventory to bring home. I then headed into London and went to Brown’s and Fortnum and Mason, Which were at least triple the price. They did not hold up to the Mug tree tea room. Next time I will stick with the country tea and skip the fancy city tea ! Five stars, highly recommend !

Had a fantastic afternoon tea as a takeaway for Mothers Day. The sandwich and cake selection were delicious as were the scones. Very generous portions and good value. The children enjoyed their afternoon tea too. All packaged nicely in pretty boxes. I have also used The Mug Tree for sweetie cones for my son’s birthday earlier this year which were great. They each had a personalised sticker and they were a great value alternative to party bags.

We just had a children’s birthday party at The Mug Tree Tea room and it was the most perfect location! Amazing service from Kathryn and her team, delicious food, and a lovely warm, cosy and relaxed environment. Couldn’t recommend them enough for any small gathering, parties, family do’s, or other celebrations! The food is so yummy and there’s an amazing selection too. I particularly recommend the Eton Mess Sundaes and Cream Teas 😋. Thanks again for a...
