Read moreWasn't great to be honest. The environment was nice, situated next to the lake. Decor was ok, a bit outdated, but i do believe there is potential. The chairs looks like it was from the 80s though.
They wanted us to order via the tablet that didn't really work very well as it needed to refrsh before you can actually order, so ended up reordering via phone. Too many items on the menu to make ordering food a good experience.
And we were given disposal chopsticks. We disposal when everything else was ceramic? Please think about our environment.
Food was... Below average. Standard Chinese takeaway food on the menu. The food choices on the menu could have been better, the food itself, could have been a lot better. No thought has been taken on the food really. Chicken was overcooked. The honey chicken was bland and can only taste the weird taste of honey, but the chicken itself was bland. Need only a few dishes but execute well, not 101 dishes that are just edible. (although some people would argue it wasn't edible on our table)

I did like the free prawn crackers, fortune cookies and...

We visited on a Sunday at 12 so they had just opened. Everyone was friendly, patient, and full of smiles. We ordered food and were told how long the wait would be and was offered a table to sit at as we waited. We decided to wait outside and soak in the atmosphere and listen to the trickle of water, which was very relaxing. Food was brought out to us, and off we trekked home with the food. Well.... when we started dishing up, we were amazed at the quality of the food. Everything looked freshly cooked, and the vegetables were vibrant and beautiful not only to eat but to look at. Mum said the best chips she has seen in a long time. The king Prawn curry was hoovered up along with a generous portion of chips. Found all the meals were fresh, with great portions and cooked to a high standard. I have passed this place for years and never tried it. That was a big mistake as it is obvious this is a well run community minded business with great food. Defo need to dine in...
