DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN. I came here yesterday as part of a charity quiz night. My partner and I are both vegans, so called ahead to see if we could eat anything and they insisted that we would be fine. When I arrived to the restaurant I double checked with the waitors who said they would serve us a vegan meal. Then the starts came out and ours was a onion bahji and 'vegetable' samosa. I was horrified after taking a bite into the samosa to find out it was lamb. I called the waitor over who tried to insist it was vegetable samosa. I then called the manager over who said he would take it out to the chef. He never came back. I went over to him and he asked me to explain when we didn't eat and wrote it down and said he would personally take our order and bring it over. To be honest we would've just gone home but it was a charity quiz night with our friends and we couldn't really. In the end he took a fiver off our meal and said sorry.
Personally I don't think that's enough. As a vegan I understand sometimes mistakes can happen and if it was an egg or some milk I would be less upset about the situation. Eating meat accidentally for the first time in over a year bought me to tears and gave me a real sense of guilt that me being there caused an animal to die. I know some people don't understand our beliefs but I think it should at least be respected and they should have owned up to what they had done rather than trying to convince me that my mince samosa was vegetarian. It was only when I said 'so what's the mince made of then' did they start to change what they were saying.
I am truly devastated after this experience and will not be eating...
Read moreFirst time to visit this place and sadly will be the last. Took my 87 year old mum for a Sunday lunch. She was not used to curry so we requested a very mild lamb curry. This turned out to be too spicy and i would agree as I'm used to curry. The service was too slow with only ourselves and another group so no excuse. The owner spent too much time chatting on his phone and we had to keep getting his attention. We requested some ice cream aka Kulfi and none was available. So we ordered 3 other things and eventually the owner came up trying to convince my mum to have a different type instead of owning up to the fact they didn't have that one. In a time of great choice of where to eat and the service you get, i suggest you try elsewhere to spend your valuable money. The food was okay is the plus but nothing...
Read moreDelivery time was brilliant, arrived very promptly. But I suggest the delivery driver would be better of working for another restaurant as that's where the positivity ends...
Firstly the naan bread was missing, so I called up and was told they wouldn't deliver one seperatley and couldn't offer me a refund on the naan as I ordered through Uber eats. They did offer me a free naan on my next order, but I won't be ordering again as I want impressed with the food.
The Chicken Bhuna tasted like heinz vegetable soup with a bit of chicken and chilli powder in it. Very disappointing. I genuinely enjoy a DIY curry in a jar from Lidl.
Luckily my partner enjoyed her Pasanda so it wasn't a complete let down.
Overall a bit of a let down and won't be...
