Please take note Ken Tomkins franchise owner. The management staff you have here are unable to provide basic customer service. Let’s give a scenario. You place an order from a local restaurant (not specifically MaccyD’s) for a salad and chicken dish. The food arrives and you open the bag to find the chicken dish has no sauce and the salad has no dressing. Just plain chicken and dry leaves….you’d be mad right? So why on earth has this happened when ordering from your Wolverton restaurant on more than ten occasion’s now. (Uber eats, Deliveroo - happy to provide dates and order numbers) I’ve called the restaurant before ordering to make sure dips and dressings are there…still failed. I’ve called back after and questioned staff as to why they can’t read a complete simple 6 item order off of a small piece of paper. I don’t want to eat cold dry food….nobody does, let alone to have to pay a premium to have it delivered! Ken the problem I have is when I’ve called I’ve never once been offered a replacement item/meal. I’m told to reach out to Uber eats to which they do nothing as sauce isn’t a chargeable item. I’ve spoken to Shawn on several occasions now. I believe he is the night manager that was internally promoted a few years ago? I emailed you some great feedback about him when he first started. Sadly I regret that now. I’ve given Shawn countless opportunities to replace the ruined meals to which he’s told me “sauce isn’t chargeable” and to “reach out to Uber eats….” This isn’t just bad customer service. It’s left me feeling embarrassed and ashamed that I keep going back. I sporadically try again every few months to see if things have changed and they simply just haven’t. I almost feel the staff are trained to not include sauce as some kind of money saving measure as this has happened way to many times for it to be a coincidence. Shawn’s customer service and method of dealing with this is that of an inexperienced teenager and I would never put someone of his ability in charge of a business I own. The messed up my order EVERY single time. A few weeks ago, I placed a order for a Big Mac without meat (am vegetarian). I got home and discovered that although the box had a label that stated no meat patty, when I opened it there was the meat burgers inside! Last week I thought I would give it another try, I went inside an ordered the vegi wrap, without sauce. The machine was broken and the sauce was unavailable so I paid and waited. You guessed it, when I opened it, there was the "unavailable" sauce included. They remade the wrap with a promise the manager would change the machine. Then on Tuesday my daughter went in and and ordered a vegi wrap without sauce at the counter with a staff member. When she got it, she opened to find he wrap had the sauce. I recently visited McDonald's in Wolverton, and overall, I had a decent experience. Let me begin by highlighting that this particular McDonald's stands out as the best option for getting your order right in the Milton Keynes area. The food was consistently hot and fresh, which was certainly a positive aspect.
However, there was one notable issue that needs attention: the waiting time at the cash payment till. It was frustrating to be ignored by the staff while they were busy with other tasks. It would be greatly appreciated if the staff could improve their attentiveness and prioritize customer service during peak hours. This area certainly needs some correction.
