The New Queen Victoria pub — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

First time going here, friends invited us out to join them on their regular Sunday night out and we were pleasantly surprised! The Queen Victoria is a really well maintained establishment, bar one side, restaurant on the other side and a garden area. Sunday night there are 2 DJ's, 1 in the bar area and the other in the garden. Banging, feel good music, African beats that make you want to dance where you're stood!! Food - well that was amazing, well cooked, really well presented and definitely full of flavour and most importantly, it is fresh. 5*'s for the food, ordered the Mutton and Potato Curry with rice, came with a side of salad and a side of spicy Carrot and ordered some fries. Well worth the money, brought to the table hot, looked good, tasted amazing and would 100% recommend you eat here. Our friends ate the Soup of the Day and couldn't stop talking about how nice it was, the menu has some amazing choices on it and being an African restaurant, the opportunity to try some exotic steaks is on the cards for next, choice of steak from Zebra, Crocodile and Ostrich to mention a few. Reasonably priced for the quality and portion size. We will definitely be back here at some point to eat again!!! Thanks to the staff for their service...

I am local from the area walk in and ask for a bottle of wine with my wife and was charge £15 ok we paid it and thought wow we won't say here for no more walk around the corner, for a few more at another local pub. a few days later my wife and her friend went in and was only charge £5 for two glasses. I thought the days of discrimination we over.. Clearly not in this place. However I will speak to their management and report back as it would only be fair to...

Only popped in for a beer but sadly the London Pride was not in great condition, and for me if the beer isn't right I can't enjoy a pub. Only a very limited ale selection so presume it's just not their main focus. Might be better for lager drinkers. Music extremely loud in the outside section.
