I went here for breakfast with my partner and daughter. Its actually a part of Braii Shack and not solely a breakfast spot which is a good use of the restaurant when it would usually be closed. We walked in and there were 2 signs both stating that the wait on food is 30-45 minutes but we didn't mind waiting so we continued. There was no one to greet us upon entry and having never been here before we were unsure whether to wait by the door to be seated so we stood there for a couple of minutes before going in. We walked up to the bar and confirmed with a friendly gentleman that you just find a table and order at the bar. The decor of the restaurant is quite cool with a lot of wood used which gives it that African vibe and there is an outdoor seating area which is also really cool and is sheltered for if its raining.

I went to the bar to order and there was no one there, I waited a moment and a lady came out and asked if I was being served, I said no so she said she would go and find someone. In the time she was gone a man came and asked if I was being served, I said no so he also said he would go and find someone. The first lady came back and said she was on her way and that she would make our drinks in the mean time.

We ordered our food and it came within about 15 minutes so we were pleasantly surprised as we were expecting 30-45 minutes. Food was good and all very hot and fresh.

The only reasons I have given 4 stars and not 5 is because on the menu it states "YOU CAN SWAP 1 ITEM ON SET BREAKFAST MEALS" So I tried to swap the mushrooms for an extra slice of toast and was told this wasn't allowed? In my opinion a slice of bread costs around the same as a few mushrooms so I couldn't understand this, I also tried to swap the included coffee for some orange juice which is also not allowed. Not a big deal anyway. And the other thing that marks it down is the coffee included with the breakfast is not very nice. It's basic filter coffee and I think a coffee machine would go a lot further with a choice of latte, cappuccino, etc.

However, don't let that put you off, I would still return as the food was good, I just wouldn't have the coffee again. Perhaps...

Ah, the Sunnyside Up Café in Wolverton—what can I say? My girlfriend and I decided to take the day off and treat ourselves to a proper breakfast. We stroll in, expecting the usual, maybe some eggs and bacon to get us through the day. But no, we were in for something much better.

It’s not just breakfast—it’s an experience. They bring you this plate, and it’s like they’ve unlocked the secret to happiness. Eggs, sausages, and buttered toast. Oh, the buttered toast. You think toast is toast, right? Nah. They’ve mastered it. Perfectly crisp, warm, and just the right amount of butter to make your heart sing but without giving you a coronary. Honestly, they could serve it as its own dish and I’d be back every week.

The atmosphere? It’s that nice, cozy kind where you feel like you’re at your mate’s house, but your mate actually knows how to cook. Coffee? Spot on. Tea? Lovely. Properly brewed, not that weak dishwater some places try to pass off.

Now, the staff... they’ve got a bit of an attitude, but in a good way. One of them made a cheeky comment about how I must’ve just rolled out of bed. Sarcastic, yes, but hey, who isn’t moody on a Friday morning? They don’t take themselves too seriously, and that’s the charm.

All in all, cracking little place. The food’s stunning, the toast is a revelation, and I’ll definitely be back. Next time, maybe I’ll even be awake enough to appreciate it properly. But one thing’s for sure—I’m coming back for more of their...

We called to book a table for 15 people for breakfast, but were told it’s first come first served. We arrived just before 11.00 this morning. It was busy and there were hand written notes around stating a 30-45 wait on food. We were happy to wait, so found somewhere to sit. There were several dirty tables, but as they were busy we didn’t mind stacking all the dirty plates on one table. We made 4 orders in total. The first order arrived at our table (45 minutes later) for the last person that ordered. The next order arrived for the third person that ordered. The order for the other two people just didn’t arrive. Two orders completely missed after well over an hour. We brought this to the attention of 3 separate members of staff. None of which offered an apology, none of which could care any less. We ended up with just 6 out of 15 people actually receiving their food. A refund was requested for the two lost orders. Still no apology. Whilst we were waiting for our food, that never arrived, we noticed several members of staff reserving 3 tables for what appeared to be family or friends of theirs. Although we were told reservations weren’t being taken. One rule for one and all that.?

This was by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Very disappointed. I won’t ever return nor will I recommend this place to my...

I have been to Wolverton many times but never knew about this cafe. I visited it for the first time yesterday and was very impressed! Loved the decor! Staff were very nice and helpful. I ordered iced coffee which was probably the best I’ve had in the country! And the breakfast was superb! Everything on the plate tasted so good! The bacon was not too salty, the sausage was lovely, the beans were yummy! I loved that they made fried bread for me as requested, and it was very nice! We waited quite long for the food, but the cafe didn’t seem very busy. But my God! It was well worth the wait! I had found a little gem of a cafe here! ❤️

Ordered a cheese baguette and a ham toastie for lunch. We can't go out as we are self isolating. Cheese baguette was OK but the ham toastie had the smallest amount of ham that was cut into little strips. Probably the worst ham toastie I have ever seen. Called to complain, they said the toastie is usually bigger (ham and cheese) but as I just had ham that's what it comes like, bear in mind they have a ham toastie on their menu. Their solution was if I order from them again I would get it for free.... no thank you.
