New Mandarin @Pub — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

Very disappointed would actually be an understatement for how I’m feeling after my family meal out tonight with my partner and father, We arrived to the restaurant sat down ordered a coke the coke was so flat so I kindly asked for a fresh one and my dad did to, Well the manager come over very aggressive and rude saying we’re not allowed and that the coke will be the same so we went on to ask for a can of coke and he refused said there just for delivery and then wouldn’t serve us I was not rude once just explained it was flat wasn’t making a big deal at all can’t say that for the manager tho! It’s just coke so really shocked at how he reacted with the situation, Anyways he then went on to picking up our menus and telling us to leave the restaurant. I’m very angry my family have been going here years my dad has even worked with the owner and knows the chefs but the new manager refused to get us the chef or give us the number for the owner and said he don’t even no him which I thought was abit weird. Just been for a meal there after work with colleagues and it’s the first time I’ve ever been so since first impressions count I’ll offer you mine. My friend and I were the first to arrive and about an hour ahead of schedule. Despite this the staff were happy to let us sit at the table and crack on with the drinks while we waited for our colleagues to turn up. The place looks great and the ladies loo was absolutely sparkling clean. We all had the ‘eat as much as you like’ option and despite reading other reviews I’d say the portions were a standard size and certainly plentiful enough to fill us up and leave us satisfied. Too full for dessert sadly, maybe next time! The quality of the food was excellent and the dishes I sampled were as good as a certain Chinese restaurant I was especially fond of where I used to live which sadly closed due to retirement. Worst restaurant in Milton Keynes . I would recommend staying away from it . If your a vegetarian do not even go in. As soon as we went in the staff was very un-welcoming. We ordered starters with soup which was average and when we asked for some chilli Sauce they denied having any chilli Sauce at all. They did not have salt and pepper at the table either. The staff was very rude. Anyways , we thought we had enough and would leave without ordering any main course . To this the manager said there is a 15£ minimum spend for every person visiting the restaurant. We have not heard of anything like this ever before . We just paid and left.
