I had a fantastic experience at Ottoman Kitchen, and it’s easily deserving of a five stars! The venue may be a bit cozy, but it adds to the lively atmosphere, making it a great spot for a vibrant meal with friends. The food was absolutely delicious—we chose the sharing platter for two, which at £60 for three courses was an incredible deal. The portion sizes were generous, and we left feeling more than satisfied. The meat was a standout, cooked to perfection with rich flavors, and while the rice was a bit bland for my liking, it was still well-cooked and complemented the other dishes nicely. The dips were so tasty that I only wish there had been more! The service was top-notch, with warm and friendly staff who made the experience even better. If you're looking for a place with great food, excellent value, and a welcoming atmosphere, Ottoman Kitchen is a must-visit.

We have eaten here on Friday evening before visit to Stables Theatre. When we arrived at 5:30pm the restaurant was empty (that didn't last long) and we've received a very warm welcome from the friendly staff. We've ordered the sharing platter for two on the recommendation of the staff and we were not disappointed. First was a large platter of cold and hot meze served with Turkish bread - everything was delicious. Then a mixed grill (chicken, lamb, ribs etc) with rice and salad... all the meat was well spiced and cooked to perfection. This was followed by a selection of lovely deserts. We've also enjoyed the Turkish Red wine and beer. It was great value for money as the bill came up to £75. It's a shame that this lovely restaurant isn't local to us (we travelled from London) as there is a great selection of dishes I'd love to try. Keep up the good work guys!

A wonderful Turkish restaurant with a great family feeling atmosphere. The menu selection is great with all the typical foods that you'd expect, the drink selection was also of a decent size. The food was cooked to literal perfection, the meat was succulent and seasoned just right, the rice dish was nice, the salads had nice dressings on them & was fresh and crunchy. The service was great but the food did take a little long to come out to us but nothing to complain about, to be honest that was probably down to me as I made sure I barely ate as I had heard how good their food was and I was already hungry before I got there. I highly recommend this restaurant for groups & couples to experience.

Tuesday evening place was empty. Staff very polite and attentive.

My guest and i shared the platter. i was disappointed with the size of the starters, especially the main (my friend and i both looked at each other thinking there was more to come - but there wasn't) and even the pudding..

But TO BE FAIR the meat was very high quality and food delicious. It really is very high quality.

However, as per some other comments do not go here expecting what you might usually expect from a 'regular' type Kebab house 'OCAKBASI' where there is a huge grill and you eat (and sit) in front of it, and where the portions are huge.

This is not that. While not a rip off i was certainly disappointed that i wasn't completely stuffed. Indeed, every other mixed platter (for 2) i've ever had (Durum in W Finchley as a prime example) that costs £50 quid is usually HUGE and you cannot finish it and have to take a doggy bag..

And no freebies like you'd usually get at an ocakbasi.. Free turkish tea, maybe a free baclava, at the end of the meal.

The kahve (small coffee) was authentic but at £3 each (we had 2 each) should be free in my opinion and adds a nasty surprise to the bill (£12 in our case - it was good but not that good). Also charged for extra bread which was a first time ever happening and i've eaten Turkish all over the world.

Was a birthday meal so all around a bit disappointing to spend £80 quid (tip included as service was definitely worth it) between us and still be hungry at the end of the evening.

i'd like to give 3.5 stars as it was a solid 7/10 but you cannot give half a star and, for me at any rate, i cannot give...

A bad taste in my mouth, and not from the food.

We decided to eat here for my birthday at the weekend, rather than visit the bigger Turkish restaurants we've often visited previously.

Nice greeting, and the staff were all friendly.

The food was ok - but nothing spectacular. My son and I ordered whitebait to start, which came with a 'salad' covered in a really sour dressing. My wife had the houmous kavurma, which came highly recommended by the guy serving us, and was a hit.

I'd had a hankering for seafood, so ordered the seafood casserole for my main, which according to the menu contains king prawns, fresh calamari and mussels - yet halfway through I discovered mine only contained some white fish and prawns. I mentioned it to the guy serving us and he fished through my dish (using my knife) and then went off to the kitchen. Came back and apologised on behalf of the chef who'd made a mistake, and offered to replace my meal (which I was halfway through).

We finished up and paid (with tip as the food was good, and service very attentive), but there was no further mention of it, and no offer to recompense us any other way - the guy serving us wouldn't even meet our eye as we left.

Sadly even though the food was tasty, and service was good, there was a lack of atmosphere and due to the way the comment was handled we won't be back - not when there are so many other options nearby with more atmosphere, better food and at similar prices.

Sorry, but just a small gesture would have made the experience...

Our first visit to the restaurant was an absolute delight, leaving us thoroughly satisfied with both the service and the culinary experience. Despite being a large party of 7 without a prior reservation, the staff graciously went out of their way to accommodate us, showcasing a level of hospitality that set the tone for the entire evening.

When the food arrived, it surpassed all expectations. The lamb shish was an absolute standout, boasting an unparalleled combination of flavors, tenderness, and just the right amount of spice. Every aspect of the meal was impeccably executed, making it a truly memorable dining experience.

The restaurant staff further elevated our visit by going above and beyond to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Their attentiveness was evident when my 4-year-old received a complimentary ice cream, adding a delightful touch to our evening. The entire group felt a sense of coziness and warmth, complemented by the delicious and beautifully presented food.

In summary, our first experience at the restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the accommodating service to the delectable cuisine and friendly atmosphere, it was a memorable dining occasion that has left us eager to return for more. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a perfect blend of hospitality and...
