We booked the swan as we love Woburn and it is a midway point for our friends! Plenty of parking and the pub/eatery looks traditional from the outside! Nice big bar but not a lot of room on either side of it! Sadly ordering drinks was a trial! The barperson (not allowed to say barman) had only just started this job and obviously had no training! Sadly he did not know what the first 2 wines we ordered were and just said they didn't sell them as easy option! Once we had ordered drinks they had got it took ages to actually get them! Prices for drinks are what you would expect at a good resteraunt! This is not a good resteraunt! The only serving person offered a table near the lovely open fire but the table would never take 4 comfortably! In fact most of the tables were too small for comfortable eating! We settled on a round rustic table for 6 persons! The only problem was that the "rustic table" was not planed flat so you had to hunt for a flat part to place your glass or it would lean scarily! The one serving lady was rather elusive as you can imagine even though there were only 4 full tables of eaters! The area we were put in at the front of the pub had large holes in the filthy carpet and the plaster on the main wall to the street was falling off due to water running down the wall from the ceiling! When our meals arrived we had to return the Gravey as it was cold ! The food was ok and everyone enjoyed it! The building is tired looking and has too many little alcove type dining places! It seems the rather standoffish manager is not intending to stay at this venue so maybe the next one will do better! Sadly I cannot recommend this pub as it is run inefficiently and rather badly neglected! I feel you will get a better experience in a...

We happened to be passing through on our long drive back to London. And wanted to have a sit down Sunday lunch with 11 of us ! Obviously to ring the Sunday morning a few hours before we wanted to eat and with those numbers during a pandemic was extremely pushing it ! However, Amanda couldn’t of been more accommodating! Ensuring we was social distancing she spent the time on the phone to make it happen. Many places we called just said no, and took no time. But Amanda said “ she will make it happen “ and she did ! When arriving the venue is stunning, really well done to the decor, location, and presentation. We was very well taken care of by Julianna. Very attentive, and helpful. We wasn’t waiting for anything and didn’t have to ask. She made suggestions and guided us through. And we were a large party of kids and adults and a noisy toddler !!! All the staff had the same attentive nature, polite, helpful. Great service. Great food. Beautiful location. All very happy with our time with you. If I’m ever local again we will visit. Thanks so much to you both, and the rest...

I'm in love with this pub again! I've been coming here for over thirty years, and would be the first to admit it's had it's ups and downs, but the Swan is DEFINITELY back at it's best. The food and drink is second to none, and every single member of the team goes out of their way to make sure your visit is perfect. There is a genuine caring attitude here. A lovely patio and outside area for sunny days, and also occasional music nights. Children and dogs are welcome too, so everyone is catered for. We've just booked our Christmas lunch here; if you haven't visited the Swan for a while, come and give it a try; you won't be disappointed!

Three of us had lunch on a Tuesday in October. We sat outside in one of the lovely booths. When I walked in Harry immediately carried the drinks outside for us and left us with menus. He went through the menu with us and I had his recommendation of the Ray Wing, which was simply delicious. My wife had the chicken and mozzarella sandwich. My Son had the Marguerite pizza. We also had desserts. Everything was excellent. Harry and Tracy provided a very warm, friendly atmosphere and were extremely attentive and efficient. Will definitely be back.

AVOID…I wouldn’t have fed the food to my dog… if I had one. Had the starter which was scallops- ok not worth the £13 odd price tag. Waited nearly 40 mins for our main course. No one once came to update us on the food. When it arrived the plate was hot but the food stone cold, dry and disgusting. As for the sides the veg was soggy, and the “cottage cheese” should never have been plated. Clearly can’t handle that many covers without buckling under pressure…
